Description
Secutor M870 Velites Gas Shotgun G-III (Black)
The Secutor M870 Velites G-III is a gas-powered pump-action airsoft shotgun styled on the M870, the best-known pump shotgun in the world, and this one is finished in black. The Velites range runs on gas, which gives a livelier, more satisfying shot than a basic spring shotgun while keeping the classic rack-and-fire action that makes shotguns such fun to use.
Secutor Arms offers the Velites in several versions, each identified by a letter and Roman numeral; this listing is the G-III. It suits CQB players who want something different from a rifle, anyone who enjoys the deliberate rhythm of a pump action, and players building a police, breacher or home-defence themed loadout. The black finish is the classic look for an M870 and matches almost any loadout.
How it works
A gas pump-action shotgun holds its gas in a reservoir; we also list a Secutor M870 Velites gas tank separately. Working the pump readies the action and chambers BBs, and pulling the trigger releases gas to send them downrange. You need to rack the pump between every shot, which gives the shotgun its deliberate pace and a strong sense of realism.
Like every gas replica, its performance depends on temperature. Expect the best results in mild to warm weather, and on cold days keep the shotgun, or its gas supply, somewhere warm between games. Always use the gas type given in the manual.
Handling
The M870 layout is compact and intuitive, with one hand on the grip and one on the pump. Practise working the pump smoothly through its full stroke on every shot, as short-stroking is the most common cause of misfeeds with any pump-action replica.
Our Velites Invicta listings describe M-LOK fore-ends on those versions; please check the product photos, or ask us, to confirm which fore-end and mounting points this G-III has before buying a torch or rail section for it.
Getting the most from it
Treat the shotgun as a close-range specialist. Use cover to get close, fire deliberately and move between shots, rather than trying to trade shots with rifles at long range. A single-point sling keeps it close when you need your hands free, and many players carry a pistol as a backup for when the shotgun needs gas or BBs.
Shotguns shine in buildings, around vehicles and in close woodland, where a quick shot into a doorway or around a corner can decide a fight. Get to know how the shot behaves at your usual distances during a few minutes of test firing at a safe backstop.

Compatibility
Use only the gas type given in the Secutor manual. We list a Secutor M870 Velites gas tank separately; please check with us that a tank or any spare part suits the G-III before buying, as parts can differ between Velites versions.
Use good-quality seamless 6mm BBs, with 0.20g a sensible starting point for a shotgun. Torches, rail sections and slings will fit only where the shotgun has matching mounting points, so check your version before ordering accessories.
Care and maintenance
Use only the gas the manufacturer recommends, never lighter fluid or butane, and fill in short bursts without overfilling. A drop of silicone oil on the fill valve and seals every so often keeps them supple, and the shotgun is best stored with just a little gas in it so the seals stay seated.
Wipe the shotgun over after each game, keep grit and mud out of the loading port and action, and run a cleaning rod through the barrel occasionally. Store it unloaded, somewhere cool and dry, and never leave it in direct sun or a hot car.
Who is it for?
The Velites G-III in black is for CQB players and shotgun fans who want a gas-powered M870 with a satisfying pump action, and for anyone building a police, breacher or home-defence themed loadout.
Please note: Gas and BBs are not listed as included. Always wear suitable eye protection, and full-face protection where your site requires it, when using or testing any airsoft replica, and check your site’s rules on shotguns before play.
