Description

Secutor Rapax XXI M3 (DMR – Black)

The Secutor Rapax XXI M3 is an electric designated marksman rifle (DMR) from Secutor’s Rapax XXI range, finished in black. A DMR sits between a standard assault rifle and a bolt-action sniper rifle: it is set up for accurate, deliberate semi-automatic shots at longer ranges, while still being quick enough to use when the game moves in close.

Secutor Arms is a Hong Kong brand that has built a strong following with distinctive, well-specified replicas at sensible prices. The Rapax XXI line is its family of marksman rifles, and the M3 gives players a ready-made platform for the DMR role without having to build one from parts.

The DMR role

Many sites and events give DMRs a higher power limit than standard rifles, usually with a minimum engagement distance and a requirement to fire in semi-automatic only. That makes a DMR ideal for players who like to hold a position, cover a lane and pick off targets at range. Check your site’s DMR rules before you play, and have the rifle chronographed so you know where it sits.

Because a DMR rewards accuracy, it pays to fit a good optic, use high-quality BBs and spend time setting the hop-up properly.

Black finish

The all-black finish is a classic choice that suits almost any loadout, from modern special forces kits to woodland camouflage. It also gives you a neutral base if you want to add camouflage wraps or tape later to blend the rifle into a particular environment.

Setting up for accuracy

Fit a magnified optic or a quality red dot to suit the distances you play at, and zero it at your usual engagement range. Choose a BB weight that suits the rifle and stick with it, adjusting the hop-up until shots fly flat and consistent. Heavier BBs are popular in DMRs because they carry better and are less affected by wind.

Keep a note of your hop setting and zero so you can return to them quickly after cleaning or travel.

Getting started

Fully charge a suitable battery before first use, then fit it as described in the manual and connect it carefully. Load a magazine, wind it if it is a high-capacity type, and start with the hop-up turned off. Fire a few shots at a safe target and add hop a little at a time until the BBs fly flat without rising at the end of their flight.

Have the rifle chronographed at your site before you play, and keep a note of the hop setting that suits your favourite BB weight so you can return to it quickly.

Key features

  • Secutor Rapax XXI series marksman rifle
  • Electric (AEG) DMR
  • Model M3
  • Black finish
  • Built for accurate, longer-range semi-automatic play
  • Ready-made platform for the DMR role

Compatibility

Rapax XXI rifles use magazines made for the Rapax series, and the exact magazine, battery type and muzzle thread can differ between models in the range, so check the details for the M3 with us before buying spares, a battery or muzzle accessories. Optics fit the top rail with standard mounts for that rail type. Use good quality seamless 6mm BBs.

Care and maintenance

Take the battery out after every game and store it away from the rifle, and charge LiPo batteries only on a proper balance charger under supervision. Clean the inner barrel with a cleaning rod and a dry cloth patch every few games, as dirt and broken BB fragments are the main causes of flyers. Stick to good quality seamless BBs of a consistent weight.

Check screws, the flash hider and any mounts before each game day, and store the rifle somewhere dry. Leave the hop-up at a light setting in storage, and if the rifle has an electronic trigger unit, a fully charged battery helps it read the trigger cleanly.

Who is it for?

Ideal for players stepping into the marksman role who want a dedicated DMR in a classic black finish, ready to fit with an optic and set up for accurate, longer-range shots.

Please note: Battery and charger are not listed as included. Always wear suitable eye and face protection, and check your site’s DMR rules and power limits before play.
