Description
Snow Wolf GP-30 Gas Launcher Grenade Shell
This is a gas-powered 40mm grenade shell for the Snow Wolf GP-30, an airsoft replica of the Russian under-barrel grenade launcher designed for AK-pattern rifles. The GP-30 takes one shell at a time, so the quickest way to stay effective as a grenadier is to carry several shells filled and loaded before the game starts, then swap them in as you need them.
The Snow Wolf GP-30 is modelled on a launcher that fires caseless VOG-25 style grenades, and the airsoft version uses 40mm gas grenades in place of the real rounds. Buying the matching shell for your launcher is the straightforward way to make sure it fits and fires as it should, and having spares means a single empty shell never stops you from playing your role.
How it works
Like other airsoft 40mm shells, this shell is filled with gas through its valve and loaded with 6mm BBs. When the launcher’s trigger strikes the shell, the gas is released in one burst, sending the BBs out together as a spread. That spray of BBs is what makes a grenade launcher so useful: it can clear a doorway, hit players hiding behind low cover or suppress a window while your team moves.
Why carry spares
Reloading a shell with gas and BBs takes time you rarely have in the middle of a game. With several pre-filled shells in a pouch you can fire, drop the empty into a dump pouch and load a fresh one in seconds. Spares also give you a backup if one shell loses gas or needs attention, and they let you share the load with a teammate who also runs a GP-30.
Key features
- 40mm gas grenade shell for the Snow Wolf GP-30
- Fires a spread of 6mm BBs
- Gas-powered and refillable
- Ideal as a spare for fast reloads
- Completes an AK grenadier loadout
Compatibility
This shell is designed for the Snow Wolf GP-30 under-barrel launcher. The GP-30 itself fits full-size AK replicas such as AKM, AK-74 and AK-12 types, depending on the gas block and mount fitted. If you are using the shell in a different launcher, check that it fits and fires correctly before relying on it in a game. Use the gas type recommended for the GP-30 system, which is normally green gas, and good quality seamless 6mm BBs.
Care and maintenance
Put a drop of silicone oil on the fill valve and seals regularly to keep them sealing well. Do not overfill the shell, and store it with a small amount of gas inside so the seals stay supple. Keep shells clean and free of grit, and check for leaks before a game by filling and listening for a hiss. Never store a shell loaded inside the launcher, and keep shells out of direct heat and sunlight.
Who is it for?
Owners of the Snow Wolf GP-30 who want to carry more than one round into a game, and AK players building a grenadier loadout.
Please note: Gas and BBs are not included, and the launcher is sold separately. Always wear suitable eye and face protection.
