Description
Socom Gear M200 Shell Ejecting Sniper Rifle (8mm – M200-A001)
The Socom Gear M200 is a gas-powered, shell-ejecting replica of the CheyTac M200 Intervention, one of the most distinctive long-range rifles ever built. It fires 8mm BBs from individual brass-style shells, and every time you work the bolt the spent shell is ejected, just like the real rifle.
This is a big, serious replica: around 1346mm long and about 9kg, with a long upper rail for optics and a removable bipod. It is aimed squarely at collectors and dedicated snipers who want the full experience of loading and cycling individual rounds, rather than a light skirmish rifle.
How it works
Each shell holds a single 8mm BB. Shells are loaded into the seven-round magazine, and working the bolt chambers a shell and, after firing, extracts and ejects it. The rifle runs on green gas or top gas; only use gas designed for airsoft guns, never lighter fluid or butane.
The shells are CNC-machined to suit Marushin 8mm BBs, and Socom Gear advises against other brands because they may not sit securely in the shell. The hop-up is adjustable using a tool from the top of the rifle.
Build and handling
The removable bipod has legs that can be repositioned separately, locked up or down and adjusted for length, so you can set up a stable firing position on uneven ground. A long upper accessory rail makes it straightforward to fit a scope.
The stock is length-adjustable, although only the two longest positions work with the bolt’s travel. The rifle uses an M4-type pistol grip, and a black ergonomic grip is included, so you can swap to an aftermarket grip if you prefer.
Getting started
Read the manual first, then load each shell with a Marushin 8mm BB and fill the magazine with shells. Fill the gas as the manual describes, work the bolt fully and fire a few shots at a safe backstop, adjusting the hop-up until the BBs fly flat at your chosen distance.
Collect your shells after shooting, and have the rifle chronographed at your site before play.

Compatibility
The M200 uses Socom Gear M200 shells and magazines; extra shells and spare magazines are available separately. Use Marushin 8mm BBs for the best fit in the shells. The upper rail accepts standard scope mounts. Optics are not included. Please check with us whether a magazine is included with your rifle, as listings differ.
Care and maintenance
Collect and inspect shells after use and keep them clean, as a damaged or dirty shell can affect feeding and accuracy. Put a drop of silicone oil on the gas fill valve occasionally, never overfill, and keep the seals supple by storing the rifle with a little gas.
Wipe the rifle down after damp games, keep it in its case when not in use, and check the bipod, rail and scope mounts are tight before each outing.
Who is it for?
The Socom Gear M200 is for collectors of large-calibre rifle replicas and dedicated snipers who enjoy the ritual of loading and ejecting individual shells. Its size and weight make it a statement piece rather than a lightweight skirmish rifle.
Please note: optics, gas and BBs are not listed as included. Always wear suitable eye and face protection when using airsoft replicas.
