The SRC SR8-CC is an HK416-style electric rifle from SRC’s third-generation range, in its compact close-combat (CC) configuration and finished in black. The 416 profile is one of the most popular modern rifle designs in airsoft, combining the familiar AR controls with a distinctive railed front end.
SRC is a Taiwanese manufacturer with many years of experience building electric rifles, and its third-generation models brought a range of refinements over earlier versions. We also carry the SR8-CC in blue, so this is the black version of the same rifle.
Design and handling
The CC configuration keeps the rifle short, making it quick to bring on target and easy to move with indoors, around vehicles and through dense woodland. The railed handguard gives you mounting points for a torch, laser or vertical grip, and the top rail suits a red dot or compact magnified optic.
As an AR-pattern rifle, the controls sit exactly where M4 users expect them: safety selector above the pistol grip, magazine release on the right of the receiver and an adjustable stock to set the length of pull.
Setting it up
A compact 416 looks and works best with a simple, practical setup: a red dot or holographic sight, a sling and a light. Check the rail type in the product images before buying mounts, and take a few minutes at the range to set the hop-up and zero your optic before your first game.
Getting started
Before your first game, charge your battery fully on a suitable charger, fit it and check the rifle fires on safe, semi and auto as expected. Set the hop-up from zero, adding a little at a time until the BB holds a straight, flat line, and then check where it lands at the distances you usually shoot.
Your site will chronograph the rifle before play. Spend a few minutes learning how to change the battery and clear a jam so you are not doing it for the first time mid-game.

Compatibility
HK416-style AEGs generally accept standard M4/M16 AEG magazines, but fit can vary between brands, so please check before buying spares. The rails take standard 20mm accessories.

Care and maintenance
Unplug and remove the battery after use, store LiPos in a fire-safe bag, and charge them on a balance charger you are watching. Keep the inner barrel clean with a rod and patch, because a dirty barrel or hop-up rubber is the most common cause of poor grouping.
Use good quality, polished BBs and avoid reusing BBs picked up from the floor. Keep the rifle dry, check all external screws now and then, and leave internal servicing to someone who knows AEGs well.
