Description
SRC TT33 Magazine Feed Lip
This is a replacement feed lip for SRC TT33 pistol magazines. The TT33 (Tokarev) is a classic Soviet service pistol, and SRC has produced airsoft versions of it. The feed lip is the part at the top of the magazine that holds the BBs in place and guides each one into the chamber as the pistol cycles.
Feed lips wear, crack or deform over time, particularly when magazines are dropped on hard ground or loaded roughly. A worn feed lip is one of the most common causes of misfeeds, double feeds and BBs spilling out of the top of the magazine. Replacing it is a cheap and quick way of bringing a tired magazine back into service.
Signs it needs replacing
Look out for BBs falling out of the top of a loaded magazine, the pistol firing without a BB, or BBs jamming at the top of the magazine. A close look at the lips will often show a crack, a chip or a lip that has spread apart. If your magazine also leaks gas, check the seals and valves too, as the problem may not be the feed lip alone.
Fitting
Empty the magazine of BBs and gas fully before starting. Feed lips on gas pistol magazines are usually held by a small pin or screw and sit under spring pressure from the follower, so hold the follower down while you remove and fit the part. Work over a tray so that nothing small is lost. Once fitted, test with a few BBs before loading the magazine fully.

Compatibility

Care and maintenance
Keep magazines clean and dry, and load BBs gently rather than forcing them past the lips. Use clean, good-quality 6mm BBs, as damaged or dirty BBs wear the lips faster. For gas magazines, a drop of silicone oil on the fill valve and seals from time to time helps prevent leaks, and storing with a little gas in the magazine keeps the seals in shape.
Who is it for?
For SRC TT33 owners with a magazine that misfeeds or drops BBs, and for players who like to keep spare parts on hand for their sidearms.
Please note: Check that your magazine is an SRC TT33 magazine before ordering. Always empty a gas magazine fully before working on it.
