Description
SRC XM8 AEG with Inbuilt Scope (3rd Generation – Black – GE-0621III-BK)
The SRC XM8 is a third-generation electric rifle styled on the futuristic XM8 design, finished in black and fitted with an inbuilt scope. Its smooth, rounded polymer body and integrated optic make it instantly recognisable, and it gives you a ready-to-aim rifle without buying a separate sight.
SRC has long been known for affordable, robust AEGs, and its third-generation rifles bring a reinforced metal gearbox and refinements to the design. The XM8 is a great choice for players who want something different from the usual AR or AK, and for collectors of distinctive modern designs.
Build and design
The receiver and front and rear assemblies are made from high-impact reinforced polymer, with a metal outer barrel. The scope is built into the upper receiver and carrying handle, so it stays aligned and cannot be knocked loose like a separately mounted optic. Please check the product images for the exact configuration of this version.
The controls are fully ambidextrous, which suits left- and right-handed players, and the stock is adjustable so you can set the length of pull for your build and kit.
Performance and internals
SRC’s third-generation XM8-style rifles use a reinforced metal Version 3 gearbox of the G36 type, with steel gears, steel 8mm bushings and an SRC motor. The hop-up unit is metal and adjustable.
The rifle fires on safe, semi and full auto. Because it uses a G36-type gearbox, it takes G36-series AEG magazines, which are easy to find from many brands. The outer barrel has a 14mm counter-clockwise thread for a suppressor or tracer unit.
Getting started
Fully charge a suitable battery before first use, then fit it as described in the manual and connect it carefully. Load a magazine, wind it if it is a high-capacity type, and start with the hop-up turned off. Fire a few shots at a safe target and add hop a little at a time until the BBs fly flat without rising at the end of their flight.
Have the rifle chronographed at your site before you play, and keep a note of the hop setting that suits your favourite BB weight so you can return to it quickly.

Compatibility

A small 8.4V battery is recommended for SRC’s XM8-style rifles; please check the battery space and connector before ordering.
The 14mm CCW thread accepts most airsoft suppressors and tracers. G36-type Version 3 gearbox parts are widely available for later upgrades.
Care and maintenance
Remove the battery after use and store it outside the rifle, charging it only on a suitable charger. Clean the inner barrel regularly with a rod and patch, and use clean, seamless BBs.
Keep the inbuilt scope’s lenses clean with a soft lens cloth and avoid solvents. Wipe the rifle down after wet or muddy games and let it dry before casing, and leave gearbox work to an experienced technician.
Who is it for?
The SRC XM8 suits players who want a distinctive, modern-looking rifle with a built-in optic, and anyone who prefers a light polymer rifle that is ready to aim straight from the box.
Please note: Battery and charger are not named in this listing, so please check with us before ordering. Always wear suitable eye and face protection and have the rifle chronographed at your site before play.
