Description
SRC XM8 AEG with Inbuilt Scope (3rd Generation – German Grey – GE-0621III-GG)
The SRC XM8 is an electric replica of the futuristic XM8 rifle, with its smooth, rounded body and a scope built into the carry handle. This third-generation version (GE-0621III-GG) is finished in German grey, a colour that sets it apart from the usual black rifles and gives it a distinctive, modern look.
The XM8’s design came out of a modular rifle programme, and its clean lines make it one of the most recognisable shapes in airsoft. SRC’s version pairs that styling with a practical G36-type gearbox, so spare parts and magazines are easy to source.
Build and design
The body is made from high-impact reinforced polymer with a metal outer barrel, which keeps the weight down while staying tough enough for regular game use. The inbuilt scope in the upper receiver means you have an optic straight out of the box, with no need to buy and mount a separate optic.
The controls are fully ambidextrous, so left-handed players can operate the rifle as easily as right-handed players, and the adjustable stock lets you set the length of pull to suit your build and kit.
Internals and performance
Inside is a reinforced metal Version 3 gearbox of the G36 type, with steel gears and 8mm bushings, and a metal adjustable hop-up unit. Fire modes are safe, semi-auto and full-auto. The outer barrel has a 14mm counter-clockwise thread for suppressors and tracer units.
The XM8 accepts G36-series AEG magazines, which are widely available from many makers. A small 8.4V battery is recommended for SRC’s XM8-style rifles; check the space and connector before ordering.
Getting started
Charge your battery on a proper charger and fit it following the manual. Load a magazine and test-fire at a safe backstop, starting with the hop-up off and bringing it up gradually until shots fly flat. A few minutes of zeroing at the range makes a big difference to your confidence on the field.
Practise magazine changes and battery swaps at home, and get the rifle chronographed at the site before your first game.

A small 8.4V battery is recommended; check the battery space and connector before ordering. The 14mm CCW thread accepts most airsoft suppressors and tracers, and G36-type Version 3 gearbox parts are widely available.
Care and maintenance
Take the battery out after every game and store it away from the rifle, and charge LiPo batteries only on a proper balance charger under supervision. Clean the inner barrel with a cleaning rod and a dry cloth patch every few games, as dirt and broken BB fragments are the main causes of flyers. Stick to good quality seamless BBs of a consistent weight.
Check screws, the flash hider and any mounts before each game day, and store the rifle somewhere dry. Leave the hop-up at a light setting in storage, and if the rifle has an electronic trigger unit, a fully charged battery helps it read the trigger cleanly.
Who is it for?
The German grey XM8 suits players who want a distinctive, lightweight rifle with a built-in scope, and collectors of modern experimental rifle designs.
Please note: Battery and charger are not named in this listing, so please check with us before ordering. Always wear suitable eye and face protection and have the rifle chronographed at your site before play.
