Description
S&T BAR M1918A2 (Black, STAEG102RW)
The S&T M1918A2 is a full-size electric replica of the Browning Automatic Rifle, the legendary squad automatic weapon carried by American troops through the Second World War and Korea. It combines an alloy receiver and outer barrel with real wood furniture, and comes with a bipod and a high-capacity magazine, so it looks and feels the part for any WW2 or historical impression.
The BAR is one of the most recognisable weapons of its era, and S&T’s replica captures its long, purposeful profile and substantial weight. It is aimed at players who want a genuinely different support weapon, re-enactors and collectors who want a well-made, full-size BAR, and anyone who simply loves classic military rifles.
Build and materials
The receiver, outer barrel assembly, bipod, carry handle arm, magazine and trim are alloy, while the handguard, carry handle and stock are real wood. The result is a solid, authentic-feeling replica of around 120cm in length and approximately 5kg in weight. That weight is part of the BAR experience: it sits steadily in the shoulder and on the bipod, and rewards players who pick their positions carefully.
The adjustable iron sights can be set for windage and elevation, and front and rear sling loops let you carry the rifle comfortably between positions. The integrated carry handle makes it easier to move the BAR around when you are not firing.
Performance and internals
Inside is a gearbox with a Version 2 gearset and cylinder head, rear wired, so many common V2 parts are a good starting point for servicing and upgrades. The hop-up is a slider type: pull back the charging handle and move the slider behind the mock bolt. S&T suggests a 0.25g BB as a good match for the rifle.
The BAR fires on full auto only, with a trigger lock engaged by moving the selector to S. That suits its support role perfectly: use controlled bursts to pin down opponents, cover your squad as it moves, or hold a position. The 190-round high-capacity magazine is filled through a window at the top and wound using the wheel on the base, and there is an ambidextrous magazine release.
Battery
The fixed stock has room for a crane, nunchuck or butterfly-style battery, and the replica uses a Mini Tamiya connector. You can remove the stock plate for access, or use the spring-loaded door to reach the connector.

Compatibility
Uses M1918 BAR AEG magazines; spare and higher-capacity magazines listed for the S&T BAR are the safest choice, as BAR replicas from other makers may use different magazine dimensions. Choose a crane, nunchuck or butterfly battery that fits the stock, with a Mini Tamiya connector or an adapter.
Care and maintenance
Take the battery out of the stock whenever you are not using the rifle, and never leave a battery charging unattended. Use good quality seamless BBs, run a cleaning rod with a dry patch through the inner barrel every few games, and empty and unwind the magazine after use so its spring is not left under tension. Treat the wood furniture as you would any wooden item: wipe it dry after wet games, keep it out of prolonged damp and away from direct heat, and store the rifle somewhere dry, ideally in a long padded bag.
Who is it for?
The S&T BAR is for WW2 and historical players, re-enactors, support gunners who want something more characterful than a modern LMG, and collectors who want a full-size BAR with real wood and an alloy receiver.
Please note: Battery and charger are not included. BBs are sold separately. Always wear suitable eye and face protection and check the rules at your site before play.
