The S&T LW 40mm Moscato is a pistol-style airsoft grenade launcher that fires 40mm gas shells, often called moscarts. It is a compact, stand-alone launcher with its own grip and trigger, so you can carry it as a sidearm and bring it out when you need to clear a room or suppress a position.

How it works
A 40mm gas shell is filled with gas and loaded with BBs or a foam projectile, depending on the shell type. When you load it into the launcher and pull the trigger, a firing pin opens the shell’s valve and the gas drives out its contents in a single burst. The launcher itself has no gas or battery: all the power comes from the shell.
Open the breech, slide a filled shell in, close the breech, aim and fire. Please check the manual for how the breech and trigger work on this model, and practise loading until you can do it smoothly.
Using it in the field
A burst of BBs from a moscart is ideal for close-range room clearing or for hitting players behind cover. Many sites have specific rules for launchers, including minimum distances and permitted shell types, so check with your site before play.
Carry spare filled shells in a dedicated 40mm pouch so you can reload quickly, and keep track of your shells after firing, as they are easy to drop in long grass.

Fill shells with the gas recommended by the shell maker, and load them with the BB weight or projectile type the shell is designed for.
Care and maintenance
Keep the breech and firing pin area clean and free from grit, and wipe the launcher over after damp or muddy games. Never leave a filled shell loaded in the launcher between games.
Look after your shells: a drop of silicone oil on the valve and seals now and then keeps them supple, and do not overfill them. Store the launcher and shells somewhere cool and dry.
