These Swiss Arms steel BBs are .177 calibre (4.5mm) ammunition for steel BB air guns, supplied as a pack of 1500 rounds under Cybergun reference 881500. Swiss Arms is one of Cybergun’s best-known brands, and many of its CO2 pistols and air rifles are built around this type of ammunition.
The 1500-round pack is a convenient size for regular target shooting without buying in bulk. These are not airsoft BBs: they are small steel balls for replicas specifically designed to fire .177 steel BBs, usually CO2-powered pistols and rifles.
Using steel BBs
Steel BBs are loaded into the magazine or reservoir of a compatible air gun. Because they are metal and hard, they behave very differently from plastic airsoft BBs: they can bounce back off hard surfaces, so you need a proper backstop such as a BB trap or a dense target box. Shoot in a safe, controlled area and never at people or animals.
Choosing the right ammunition
Check your air gun’s manual: some guns fire steel BBs only, some fire lead pellets only and some can use both. Never put steel BBs into a pellet-only gun with a rifled barrel, and never use them in a 6mm airsoft replica.
