Description
Tectonic Innovations Quake 8 Way Grenade (Purple)
The Tectonic Innovations Quake 8 Way in purple is a reusable impact grenade that fires a primer with a loud bang as soon as it strikes a surface. With eight primer positions in its base, a single loading is good for eight throws.
If you throw grenades regularly, a reusable design like the Quake soon pays its way compared with single-use pyro. It is built from stainless steel and aircraft-grade aluminium, and its simple twist-to-advance base makes it quick to ready between throws.
How it works
Inside the body is a stainless steel plunger. When any part of the grenade strikes a surface, the plunger is driven onto a firing pin, which sets off a primer held in the base and produces a sharp report. Because it works whichever way it lands, there is no pin to pull and no fuse delay to judge: it goes off the moment it hits the floor or a wall.
The base holds eight primers. After each throw you twist it on to the next position, so one loading gives you eight uses before you need to reload. Reloading is simply a case of unscrewing the base, replacing the spent primers and screwing it back on.
Build and materials
The Quake 8 Way is made from stainless steel and aircraft-grade aluminium, so it is strong enough to be thrown onto concrete, wooden floors and hard ground again and again. At around 40 x 40 x 125mm it is compact enough to carry in a grenade or utility pouch on your rig.
The purple finish is distinctive and easy to pick out on the ground, which helps when you are collecting your grenade after a round. It also makes it simple to tell your grenade apart from a teammate’s.

Compatibility
The Quake 8 Way uses .209 (6mm) primers. Primers are not listed as included, so make sure you have a supply before your game day. Check your site’s rules on pyrotechnics and impact grenades before use: many sites allow them, but some limit their use indoors or set minimum throwing distances.
Care and maintenance
Unload the grenade at the end of each day and wipe off any residue from the primers. Make sure it is completely dry before you put it away, and keep the base threads free of grit.
Keep primers in their own packaging away from the grenade, in a cool, dry place. Never throw a loaded grenade carelessly or drop it onto a hard floor when you are not in play.
Who is it for?
Players who use grenades often and want a reusable impact grenade in an eye-catching purple that is easy to recover after each throw.
Please note: Always wear full-seal eye protection when using grenades, and follow your site’s rules on pyrotechnics and primers.
