Description
Tokyo Marui CURVE Non Blow Black Pistol
The Tokyo Marui CURVE belongs to Tokyo Marui’s Compact Carry series of non-blowback gas pistols. It is an ultra-compact sidearm with a distinctive curved frame, designed to sit close against the body when carried. Finished in black, it is slim, very light and small enough to tuck into a pocket, waistband or small pouch, making it a discreet backup pistol for skirmishing or a fun piece for target practice.
Tokyo Marui is renowned for well-engineered, accurate replicas, and even its smallest pistols get the same attention to detail. The CURVE is based on a Taurus design and is quite unlike most airsoft pistols, so it also appeals to collectors who want something different on the shelf.
Design and build
The CURVE measures approximately 145mm long and weighs around 250g, so you will barely notice it on your belt. The frame and slide are plastic, which keeps weight down. The curved grip is designed to follow the shape of the body for comfortable concealed carry, and a waistband clip lets you carry it without a holster. The pistol has no conventional sights; instead, the front of the frame carries dummy laser and light units that recreate the look of the original design but do not function.
Performance
As a non-blowback pistol, the slide does not move when you fire. All of the gas goes into propelling the BB, rather than cycling the slide, so you get more shots from each fill and consistent shot-to-shot performance. The adjustable hop-up lets you tune the backspin on the BB for a flatter trajectory, and the short 60mm inner barrel is well matched to the close ranges this pistol is designed for. It fires in semi-automatic mode.
Ammunition is held in a 10-round pinch-type gas magazine, which also holds the gas. Ten rounds may not sound like much, but for a last-ditch backup it is enough to clear a room, and the gas efficiency of the non-blowback system means you will usually run out of BBs before you run out of gas.

Compatibility
Use airsoft green gas or HFC134a. Do not use lighter fluid or butane, as these can damage the seals. The CURVE uses its own model-specific magazines. Lighter BBs, around 0.20g, are a good match for the short barrel.
Care and maintenance
Put a drop of silicone oil on the magazine fill valve and seals every few fills to keep them supple. Do not overfill the magazine, and store it with a small amount of gas inside to keep the seals seated. Use good quality seamless BBs, keep the pistol clean and dry, and allow it to warm up in cold weather, as gas pressure drops when temperatures fall.
Who is it for?
The CURVE suits players who want a tiny, discreet backup pistol, and collectors who appreciate unusual designs. It is also a fun, easy-to-handle pistol for target practice.
Please note: Gas and BBs are not included. Always wear suitable eye protection when shooting.
