Description

Tokyo Marui S12 Pump Action Shotgun (Stockless Version)

The Tokyo Marui S12 is a spring-powered pump-action airsoft shotgun in its stockless version, a compact, pistol-gripped take on a classic combat shotgun. The S12 name and layout point to Tokyo Marui’s SPAS 12-style pump-action shotgun, and a UK retailer’s listing of that Marui pump-action describes a three-shot design that fires three BBs at once through three individual inner barrels.

Tokyo Marui’s spring shotguns are simple, dependable and great fun, with no battery or gas to worry about. The stockless version is short and light, ideal for CQB, house-clearing scenarios and anyone who wants a dramatic, close-range sidearm-style shotgun. It also suits collectors of film and game-inspired replicas.

How it works

Each pump of the fore-end cocks the spring, and pulling the trigger fires a spread of three BBs. Because it is a spring system, the shotgun works the same in cold weather as in warm, and you never run out of gas or battery mid-game. The pump-action cycle also gives a satisfying, deliberate rhythm to each shot.

The retailer listing for the Marui pump-action describes a 30-BB shell that loads into the belly of the shotgun just in front of the trigger, giving around ten three-BB shots per shell. Carry a few loaded spare shells if you plan to use the shotgun as your main replica.

Build and handling

That listing gives a mainly ABS plastic construction with a metal outer barrel and pump guide, which keeps the shotgun light. The stockless version is held with a firm grip on the pistol grip and pump, and is best used at short range, where its spread is most effective. Please check the product photos and manual for the exact dimensions of this stockless version, as the figures we have found are for the Marui pump-action with its standard furniture.

On the field

Shotguns shine at close quarters: clearing rooms, holding doorways and surprising opponents around corners. Check your site’s rules on spring shotguns and minimum engagement distances, and have the shotgun chronographed before play.

Key features

  • Spring-powered pump action, no gas or battery needed
  • Stockless version for compact handling
  • Fires three BBs per shot through three inner barrels (per retailer listing)
  • Shell-fed, around 30 BBs per shell (per retailer listing)
  • Light ABS construction with metal outer barrel (per retailer listing)
  • Consistent in cold weather
  • Tokyo Marui quality

Compatibility

Use Tokyo Marui shells made for this shotgun; shells from other shotgun systems are not interchangeable. Use good-quality 6mm seamless BBs, as a single poor BB can jam a three-barrel system.

Care and maintenance

Keep the shells or magazine and the loading area free from grit and mud, and wipe the shotgun over after each game. Run a cleaning rod through the barrel occasionally, and use only clean, high-quality seamless BBs, as a single damaged BB can jam a multi-shot system.

Work the pump smoothly through its full stroke rather than slamming it, and store the shotgun uncocked so the spring is not left compressed. Keep it somewhere cool and dry between games.

Who is it for?

The Tokyo Marui S12 stockless pump-action is for CQB players who want a compact, reliable close-range shotgun, and for collectors and newer players who like the simplicity of spring power.

Please note: BBs are not mentioned as included in our listing, and box contents are not confirmed, so please ask if you need them confirmed. Always wear suitable eye protection, and full-face protection where your site requires it, when using or testing any airsoft replica.
