Description
Vigor Long Pump Action Shotgun (Two Tone Blue – 0581B)
The Vigor Long Pump Action Shotgun (model 0581B) is a full-length pump action airsoft shotgun in a two-tone blue finish. With a long barrel and classic shotgun lines, it gives you the satisfying rack-and-shoot experience of a pump action in a striking coloured design.
Vigor produces affordable replicas, and its shotguns are a popular, low-cost way to add a pump action to your collection or loadout. This long version suits players who like the full-size shotgun look and want a fun, straightforward replica for CQB, woodland and target shooting.
Design and handling
As the name suggests, this is the long version of the shotgun, giving it a full-size profile and a long sight line along the barrel. The two-tone blue finish makes it a coloured version that stands out on the range and in a collection.
A long shotgun is steady when shouldered, which helps with accuracy, while the pump action gives a reassuring, deliberate feel to every shot.
How a pump action works
A pump action shotgun is operated by sliding the fore-end back and forward between shots. Each stroke of the pump readies the shotgun for the next shot, so you fire, pump and fire again. It is a slower rate of fire than an automatic replica, but it is great fun to use, very reliable and makes every shot count.
Working the pump smoothly and fully each time is the key to consistent feeding. Short-stroking the pump, where it is not pulled all the way back or pushed all the way forward, is the most common cause of missed shots with any pump action replica.
Using it in game
Pump action shotguns are at their best in CQB and woodland games at short to medium range, where their handling and the satisfying pump action really come into their own. Many players like to run a shotgun for a change of pace, as it encourages a more thoughtful, deliberate style of play.
Practise working the pump while keeping the shotgun on target, and learn how to load quickly so you are not caught out mid-game. A two-point sling makes it easy to carry, and pairing it with a sidearm gives you a backup when you need to reload.
Getting started
Read the manual first so you know how the safety and loading work. Load BBs as described, work the pump fully and fire a few shots at a safe backstop to see where they land. Try a couple of BB weights to find the one that groups best.
Have the shotgun chronographed at your site before play, and practise loading and pumping at home.

Compatibility
Please read the manual for the correct loading method and the type of BBs recommended for this shotgun. Magazines, shells and parts from other shotgun makers are not guaranteed to fit, so check the model code before buying spares.
Care and maintenance
Keep the shotgun clean and dry, and wipe metal parts with a light coat of silicone oil from time to time to protect the finish. Clean the inner barrel occasionally with a rod and soft patch, and use good quality, seamless BBs to avoid jams.
Check the screws on the stock, rails and fore-end before each game, as the movement of a pump action can loosen fittings over time. Avoid dry firing without BBs more than necessary, and store the shotgun somewhere dry, in a case or slip to protect the two-tone finish.
Who is it for?
Players and collectors who want an affordable, full-length pump action shotgun with an eye-catching two-tone blue finish.
Please note: BBs are not included. Always wear suitable eye protection when using airsoft replicas.
