Description
WE 17F Series Gen 5 GBBP (Tan)
The WE 17F Series Gen 5 is a tan gas blowback pistol based on the Gen 5 polymer-framed design, fitted with a MOS metal slide. WE builds some of the most widely used gas pistols in airsoft, and the 17 series has earned a reputation for reliable cycling, crisp blowback and wide parts support.
This tan version gives you a lighter-coloured pistol that suits tan and multicam loadouts, with a metal slide, metal outer barrel and an adjustable hop-up, and it comes with a 26-round metal gas magazine.
Build and features
The Gen 5 polymer frame is paired with a metal MOS slide and a metal outer barrel, and the slide catch and disassembly lock are also metal. Fixed front and rear sights give a clear sight picture for quick shooting.
The pistol is listed at 190mm long and 756g with its gas magazine, giving it a solid, balanced feel without being heavy on a belt or in a holster.
Performance
The 17F runs on green gas or 134a with gas blowback action, described as light, crisp and quick-cycling. It is semi-automatic, with an adjustable hop-up so you can set it for your chosen BB weight.
The 26-round metal gas magazine gives a good number of shots between reloads, and keeping a spare or two warm in a pocket helps consistency on cold days.
Getting started
Fill the magazine with the correct gas, holding the can upright and filling in short bursts. Let the magazine settle for a minute, load your BBs and fire a few test shots with the hop-up off, then add hop gradually until the BBs fly flat.
Get the replica chronographed at your site before play. In cold weather, keep spare magazines warm in an inside pocket for the most consistent performance.

Compatibility
Spare magazines should be WE 17 series compatible gas magazines. Check holsters are made for a G17-size pistol. Use green gas in normal conditions and 134a in warmer weather or if you prefer a softer action.
Care and maintenance
Keep a little gas in the magazines when you store them and lubricate the seals with silicone oil from time to time. Fill in short bursts until gas just starts to spit back, and keep magazines at room temperature for the best performance.
After use, check the moving parts for dirt and wipe them with a light coat of silicone oil. Clean the inner barrel occasionally, use clean seamless BBs, and keep the replica dry.
Who is it for?
The 17F is a good choice for players wanting a dependable, tan-coloured gas pistol as a sidearm, and for newcomers looking for a well-supported first GBB.
