WE G18 Outer Barrel (Black)
This is a replacement outer barrel in black for the WE G18 gas blowback pistol. WE (WE-Tech) is a Taiwanese maker known for detailed, hard-working gas blowback replicas, and it supplies spare parts so that owners can repair or refresh their pistols rather than replace them. The G18 is WE’s select-fire replica of the well-known polymer-framed pistol family.
On a gas blowback pistol the outer barrel is the visible barrel that sits inside the slide. It locates the inner barrel and hop-up unit, and on most designs it moves with the slide as the action cycles before tilting or dropping to unlock, just like the real pistol. A bent, cracked or badly worn outer barrel can cause the slide to bind, short-stroke or fail to return to battery, and can affect how the inner barrel sits.
When to replace it
Consider a new outer barrel if yours has been damaged by a drop, if the locking lugs or feet are worn or chipped, if the slide no longer locks up cleanly, or if the finish has worn and you want the pistol to look right again. It is also a handy part to have when you are rebuilding a pistol or replacing the inner barrel and hop-up unit at the same time.
Fitting
Field-strip the pistol following the method for your model: remove the magazine, lock the slide back or remove it as required, and lift out the barrel assembly. Transfer the inner barrel, hop-up unit and any related parts to the new outer barrel, making sure the hop-up rubber is seated squarely and the parts are clean. Lightly lubricate the outer surfaces where they rub against the slide with silicone oil before reassembly, then cycle the slide by hand to check smooth movement.

WE produces several variants of many of its pistols, and barrels from other makers or clone models may differ in length or locking design, so compare with your existing barrel before ordering. Care and maintenance
Wipe the outer barrel and the inside of the slide clean of dirt and old oil after games, and apply a light coat of silicone oil to the contact surfaces so the slide runs smoothly. Avoid heavy grease, which collects dust and grit. Clean the inner barrel with a cleaning rod and a lint-free patch now and then, and use good-quality seamless 6mm BBs to protect the hop-up and barrel. Store the pistol in a padded case with the magazine removed.
