This SECRET-series version adds a fire selector, so it can be used as a conventional semi-automatic sidearm or switched to full auto for close-quarters bursts.
How it works
Gas blowback means that each shot uses a small amount of gas to drive the slide back, cocking the hammer and chambering the next BB, just as a real pistol cycles. The result is a satisfying kick and a realistic manual of arms, with the slide cycling on every shot just as it does on the real thing.
A selector lets you switch between semi-automatic and fully automatic fire. Semi-automatic is the sensible everyday mode, giving you one shot per trigger pull and making your gas last longer. Full auto empties a magazine very quickly, so save it for short bursts at close range, such as clearing a doorway or suppressing a corner, and check your site’s rules on automatic fire from pistols before you use it.

Compatibility
Pistols from WE’s 17-series range are among the most widely supported gas pistols in airsoft, so holsters made for 17-pattern pistols are easy to find. Spare magazines should be WE 17-series gas magazines; check with us that a magazine is compatible with this model before ordering, as full-auto pistols get through BBs and gas quickly and a couple of spares are well worth having.
Use good quality, seamless 6mm BBs, typically 0.20g or 0.25g in a gas pistol, and a good quality airsoft gas suited to the magazine. Gas pistols are happiest in mild temperatures; on cold days keep your magazines in an inside pocket until you need them for more consistent performance.
Care and maintenance
Put a drop of silicone oil on the magazine’s fill valve and seals every few fills to keep them supple and gas-tight. Do not overfill the magazine: a one- or two-second fill is usually enough. When storing the pistol for any length of time, leave a little gas in each magazine so the seals stay seated, and store the magazines upright.
Lightly lubricate the slide rails and moving parts with silicone oil, and wipe off any excess. Clean the inner barrel with a cleaning rod and patch if accuracy drops off. Never use lighter fluid or non-airsoft gases, and keep the pistol and magazines away from direct heat and sunlight.
