Gate WARFET
The GATE WARFET is a programmable AEG control unit built around a MOSFET. It gives your rifle a wide range of advanced functions, such as pre-cocking, burst fire and rate of fire control, without having to replace the gearbox’s trigger assembly, which makes it a flexible upgrade for players who want more from an existing rifle.
GATE is one of the best-known names in airsoft electronics, and the WARFET sits between simple MOSFETs and full drop-in units such as TITAN. It suits players who want advanced features and protection for their trigger contacts and battery, but prefer to keep their rifle’s original trigger mechanism.
How it works
Like any MOSFET, the WARFET takes the main current away from the trigger contacts, so they only carry a small signal and are protected from burning. The control electronics then manage how the motor is driven, which is where the WARFET’s extra functions come from.
The unit can be installed in a plug-and-play configuration using the rifle’s original wiring, or hardwired so that power runs directly from the battery to the motor. Plug-and-play is the simplest route; hardwiring takes more work but gets the most from the unit.
Functions and programming
The WARFET offers pre-cocking with Auto and Trigger modes, programmable burst, a configurable fire selector and rate of fire control. Settings are adjusted with GATE’s Tactical Programming Card, which connects between the battery and the controller with no extra wiring, so changes can be made at the field.
Pre-cocking leaves the piston partly drawn back after each shot, which can make the trigger response noticeably quicker. As with any pre-cocking system, follow GATE’s guidance on settings and storage so the spring is not left compressed for long periods.

Compatibility
Suitable for most AEGs that use a standard trigger assembly. Check that your rifle does not already have a MOSFET or electronic trigger unit fitted. The Tactical Programming Card is used to change settings; check whether it is included before ordering if you plan to customise the unit. Hardwiring requires soldering.
Care and maintenance
Keep wiring tidy and clear of moving parts, and check solder joints and connectors whenever the gearbox is opened. Disconnect the battery when the rifle is not in use, and match your battery, motor and spring sensibly rather than relying on electronics to compensate.
