Description
Double Bell AM45 Vorpal Bunny Gas Blowback Pistol (Silver/Black, Metal, 796-2)
The Vorpal Bunny is Double Bell’s take on the compact AM.45, a short 1911 pattern based on the Detonics DT .45, dressed up with a compensator and custom furniture. Model 796-2 is the silver and black finish, which gives the slide and frame a contrasting look while keeping the small, pocket-friendly size.
Build and performance
Double Bell use a metal body with plastic flaring and furniture, and the frame and slide are aluminium alloy. It runs on green gas with a semi-automatic, single-action blowback system, and the adjustable hop-up is reached by stripping the slide. A trigger-lock safety sits at the rear of the frame. It shares magazines with Tokyo Marui and Army Armament 1911 gas pistols, which makes spares easy to find.

Good to know
Run it on a good-quality green gas made for airsoft, never lighter fluid or butane, and keep the magazine lips and seals lightly lubricated with silicone oil. Gas pistols lose some efficiency in cold weather, so warm the magazine in your hand or a pocket on chilly days. A short slide means the magazine is small, so carry a spare if you plan to use it as your main sidearm. Although it has a silver finish, this is still treated as a realistic imitation firearm (RIF) in the UK, so you will need a valid defence such as UKARA to buy it, and you must be 18 or over. Always wear eye protection and check your site’s power limits before playing.
