A&K Airsoft Gas Canister BB and Powder Grenade
This A&K airsoft grenade is a gas-powered hand grenade that can be loaded with BBs or powder, giving you a reusable alternative to single-use pyrotechnics. A&K is a long-standing airsoft manufacturer, and its gas grenades are a popular way to add grenade play to CQB and woodland games.
Loaded with BBs, the grenade throws out a spread of BBs to clear a room or hit players behind cover. Loaded with powder, it creates a visible puff that marks the blast without BBs, which some sites prefer for certain games. A&K also sells refill powder balls for its gas grenades, so you can keep using the powder option.
How it works
The grenade is charged with gas from a can. When it is triggered, the stored gas is released all at once and pushes out the payload, either BBs or powder. Because the body is reusable, you only need to buy gas and BBs or powder refills to keep using it, making it much cheaper to run over a season than disposable pyro.
Follow the instructions supplied with the grenade for filling, arming and the correct gas. Practise filling and arming in the safe zone so you can do it quickly and safely between games.
Using it in games
Gas grenades are most effective in buildings, trenches and other confined spaces, where the spread of BBs or powder covers the area around the blast. Site rules on grenades vary, including whether gas grenades are allowed, how hits are counted and whether BB or powder loads are preferred, so always check before play.
Throw underarm and make sure you know where the grenade has landed so you can recover it after the game.

Compatibility
Use with the airsoft gas recommended in the instructions, good quality 6mm BBs or suitable powder refills. A&K powder ball refills are made for its gas grenades; check the type before ordering refills. BB capacity and gas type are not stated in our listing.
Care and maintenance
After use, clear out any BB fragments, dirt and powder residue and let the grenade dry if the ground was wet. Put a drop of silicone oil on the gas fill valve now and then to keep the seals supple, and store the grenade with a little gas in it. Never overfill, and check the body for cracks after hard landings.
