Description
APS CAM870 Marine CO2 Shell Ejecting Shotgun (APS-CAM870MR, MK2)
The APS CAM870 Marine is a shell-ejecting pump-action airsoft shotgun styled on the marine versions of the Remington 870, the corrosion-resistant shotgun associated with naval and coastal use. This is the MK2 (second generation) Marine model, code APS-CAM870MR.
Like the rest of APS’s CAM870 family, it uses the CAM system: each shell is charged with CO2 and loaded with BBs, and every time you rack the pump the empty shell is ejected, just like a real pump-action. That makes it one of the most satisfying and realistic shotguns in airsoft, popular with realism-focused players, re-enactors and collectors.
How the CAM system works
Instead of a gas magazine or reservoir in the gun, each shell carries its own charge of CO2 and its own load of BBs. Racking the pump chambers a shell; pulling the trigger releases the gas in that shell, which fires the BBs, and racking again ejects the empty shell and chambers the next. Because every shell is a self-contained shot, reloading means filling and feeding shells, which adds a real sense of the shotgun’s manual of arms.
Ejected shells land on the ground, so many players use a dump pouch or shoot over a tarp at the range. Shells are reusable once recharged and reloaded.
Marine styling
The Marine models are recognisable by their contrasting finish, inspired by the plated real-steel marine shotguns. Please check the product photos for the exact finish, sights and furniture fitted to this MK2 version, as APS has made several Marine variants over the years.
The pump-action layout is simple and robust: work the pump firmly through its full stroke for each shot, keep your support hand on the fore-end, and practise reloading shells until it becomes second nature.
Getting started
Read the manual first so you know how to charge and load the shells correctly and which gas to use. Load BBs into each shell, charge it as the manual describes, and feed the shells into the shotgun. Fire a few test rounds at a safe backstop to see how the spread behaves at your usual distances, and have the shotgun chronographed at your site before play.

Compatibility
The CAM870 runs on APS CAM870 shells. APS has produced different generations of shells and shotguns (MKI, MKII, MKIII), and not every shell suits every generation, so please check with us that spare shells are listed for the CAM870 MK2 before ordering. Our shop also stocks APS shell carriers and CO2 chargers for the CAM870; confirm the right charger for your shells with us.
Use clean 6mm seamless BBs and charge shells only as the APS manual describes.
Care and maintenance
Keep shells clean and free of grit, and never store them charged with gas. Before filling, put a drop of silicone oil on each shell’s fill valve, and use only the gas the manufacturer specifies.
Wipe the pump rails and action with a light film of silicone oil, clean the barrel occasionally with a rod and patch, and use clean seamless BBs. Store the shotgun dry, with the chamber empty and no gas in any shells.
Who is it for?
The CAM870 Marine suits shotgun enthusiasts, realism-focused players and collectors who want a genuine shell-ejecting pump-action with distinctive marine styling.
Please note: Please check with us how many shells (if any) are supplied with this version; CO2 and BBs are not listed as included. Check your site’s rules on shotguns before play. Always wear suitable eye protection, and full-face protection where your site requires it, when using or testing any airsoft replica.
