Description
APS EBB Phantom Extremis 10.5″ (MKI – Black)
The APS EBB Phantom Extremis 10.5-inch (MKI) is an AR-15 style electric rifle with electric blowback (EBB), finished in black. It belongs to APS’s Phantom Extremis Rifle family, a line of modern AR-pattern rifles offered in a series of Mark configurations, and this MKI version is identified by its 10.5-inch front end.
APS is well known for feature-rich AR-style rifles at sensible prices, and the EBB Phantom Extremis gives you a slim, modern rifle with a recoil effect on every shot. The 10.5-inch front end keeps the rifle compact and quick to handle, which makes it a natural choice for CQB and wooded sites with plenty of cover. It suits players who want an M4-type rifle with a little more character than a standard AEG, without moving to the cost and upkeep of gas.
Compatibility
As an AR-15 style AEG, the Phantom Extremis is designed around M4-type AEG magazines; fit varies a little between makers, so test a spare magazine before buying several. Standard 20mm optics and accessories fit the top rail.
Battery type, connector and battery space are not confirmed for this Mark, so please check the manual or ask us before buying a battery, and check your replica’s model before ordering internal parts.
Care and maintenance
Take the battery out after every game and store it separately at a sensible storage charge, rather than leaving it connected inside the replica. Charge LiPo batteries with a proper balance charger, keep them in a LiPo-safe bag and never leave them charging unattended; NiMH packs should be charged with a smart charger that stops when the pack is full.
Run a cleaning rod with a lightly dampened patch through the inner barrel from time to time to clear dirt and residue, which keeps the hop-up consistent. Use good-quality seamless BBs, never reuse BBs that have been on the ground, and wipe the outside over after damp or muddy games. Leave gearbox work, shimming and spring changes to a competent technician.
Electric blowback adds a little extra work for the gearbox, so avoid long full-auto strings with a tired battery and have the rifle serviced by a competent technician if the cycle starts to sound laboured.
Who is it for?
The EBB Phantom Extremis MKI suits players who want a modern AR-style rifle with a recoil effect, from newer players buying a first proper rifle to experienced players who simply enjoy the feel of blowback. The compact 10.5-inch MKI is particularly suited to CQB and fast-moving games.
Please note: A battery, charger and BBs are not listed as included. Always wear suitable eye protection, and full-face protection where your site requires it, when using or testing any airsoft replica.
