Description

Ares MS700 TX System CNC Sniper Rifle with Rails (Spring Powered, Black, MSR-013)

The Ares MS700 is a spring-powered, bolt-action airsoft sniper rifle built around a modern chassis-style design, with a folding, adjustable stock and a fully railed metal handguard. It is part of the Ares licensed sniper range and carries Ares’s TX System, an interchangeable bolt design that sets it apart from most conventional spring sniper rifles.

Ares is a well-established Hong Kong manufacturer known for its sniper rifles and support weapons. The MS700 is aimed at players who want a substantial, metal-bodied rifle that feels solid in the hand, can be set up with a wide choice of rail-mounted accessories, and offers a route to upgrades through common aftermarket parts. Our listing names this version black with the code MSR-013; retailers list MSR-012 for the black MS700, so the facts below are those listed for the MS700 and the exact variant should be confirmed from the product photos.

Build and materials

Retailers describe the MS700 as a full metal rifle, with die-cast aluminium alloy upper and lower receivers and CNC-machined aluminium parts including the outer barrel, flash hider, fore-grip area and rails. The pistol grip is listed as rubberised for a secure hold. Redwolf Airsoft lists the rifle at about 1100mm long with the stock extended and about 890mm with the stock folded, and a net weight of about 4.58kg, so it is a substantial rifle rather than a lightweight one.

The folding stock makes the rifle much easier to carry to and from the site and to store in a shorter bag, and retailers describe an adjustable stock with an adjustable cheek riser so you can set a consistent head position behind a scope. Mini rails on the stock are listed as accepting a rear monopod and sling fittings.

The TX System and internals

TX System is Ares’s name for its interchangeable bolt design. As described by retailers, the standard spring bolt supplied with the rifle can be swapped for a gas or CO2 bolt sold separately, letting you change the way the rifle is powered without buying a new rifle. If you plan to do this, check the exact conversion kit with us first, as Ares makes kits for specific TX System models.

Redwolf lists the spring cocking system as compatible with VSR-10 aftermarket parts, which opens up a large choice of springs, cylinders, triggers and other upgrades. Hop-up is adjustable. Retailers list different magazine capacities for this rifle, so please check the magazine supplied with yours rather than relying on a single figure.

Rails and set-up

The fully railed handguard gives you mounting space for a bipod, a laser or a torch, while the top rail takes standard 20mm scope mounts. Take time to set the cheek riser so your eye falls naturally in line with the scope, and zero the scope with the BB weight you intend to use. Once zeroed, keep the same BBs for consistent results.

  • CNC aluminium outer barrel, flash hider and rails (as listed)
  • Folding stock with adjustable cheek riser (as listed)

  • Spring cocking system takes VSR-10 aftermarket parts (as listed)
  • Rubberised pistol grip (as listed)

Compatibility

Use Ares magazines made for the MS700 / MSR series; check the model before ordering spares. Redwolf lists the spring system as compatible with VSR-10 aftermarket parts, but always confirm a part with us or a technician before fitting it, as cylinder and bolt parts can differ.

Ares gas and CO2 bolt kits for the TX System are listed by retailers as separate items. The rails take standard 20mm accessories, and the top rail suits standard scope mounts. Use high-quality seamless 6mm BBs; heavier BBs are generally more stable at range once the hop-up is set.

Care and maintenance

Avoid dry-firing the rifle without BBs, as the piston then strikes the cylinder head without any resistance, which adds wear. Store it uncocked so the spring is not left compressed, and keep it in a padded bag or case so the barrel and any optic stay aligned.

Clean the inner barrel now and then with a rod and a lightly dampened patch, use high-quality seamless BBs, and keep the magazine and feed area free from grit. A sniper rifle rewards consistent ammunition, so once you have found a BB weight that suits your hop-up setting, stick with it.

Check the stock hinge and rail screws occasionally and tighten any that have worked loose, as a metal-bodied rifle with a folding stock relies on firm joints to hold its zero.

Who is it for?

The MS700 suits sniper players who want a heavy, metal-bodied rifle with a folding stock and lots of rail space, and players who like the idea of a rifle that can later be converted to gas or CO2 with the TX System.

Please note: Box contents are not confirmed for the MSR-013, and a scope, bipod and BBs are not listed as included. Always wear suitable eye protection, and full-face protection where your site requires it, when using or testing any airsoft replica.
