Description
Army Custom 5.1/4.3/JW3/Baba Yaga Hi-Capa Series Part – Slide Stop (R501-A-72)
A replacement slide stop (part R501-A-72) for Army Custom Hi-Capa series pistols, including the 5.1, 4.3, JW3 and Baba Yaga models. The slide stop is the lever on the side of the frame that holds the slide back when the magazine is empty and releases it again when you reload.
This Army Custom part is listed for the 5.1, 4.3, JW3 and Baba Yaga Hi-Capa series pistols, a family of popular, highly customisable gas blowback sidearms. Keeping a spare of a part like this means a broken or worn component does not keep your pistol out of action for long.
What the part does
On a Hi-Capa, the slide stop is engaged by the magazine follower once the last BB has been fired, locking the slide open so you know it is time to reload. Pressing the lever down releases the slide to chamber the next round. It also passes through the frame and helps hold key parts of the pistol together.
A worn or bent slide stop may fail to hold the slide open, release unexpectedly or make the pistol harder to strip and reassemble. Replacing it restores proper function.
Fitting
Remove the magazine and make sure the pistol is empty before starting. Align the slide with the takedown notch, push out the old slide stop and fit the new one in its place, then function-check the slide lock and release several times before use.

Compatibility
Listed for Army Custom 5.1, 4.3, JW3 and Baba Yaga Hi-Capa series pistols. Many Hi-Capa parts follow a common pattern, but fit between brands is not guaranteed, so check your pistol’s make and model, and compare against your existing part, before ordering.
Care and maintenance
Before fitting, clean the area of the pistol where the part sits and remove any old dirt or grease. Use only silicone-based lubricants on gas-system parts and seals, and avoid petroleum-based products.
If you are not confident stripping a Hi-Capa, have the part fitted by an experienced technician. After fitting, test the pistol carefully at a safe backstop before using it in a game.
Who is it for?
This slide stop is for Hi-Capa owners who need to replace a worn or damaged part, and for anyone building or maintaining an Army Custom Hi-Capa.
