Description
Bait Bands Medium 7mm
These medium 7mm bait bands are silicone bands designed for easy rigging of hard baits such as pellets and other particles. Instead of drilling or hair-rigging every bait, you simply stretch a band around it and attach it to your hook or hair, which makes changing hookbaits quick and tidy on the bank.
Bait bands are a staple for anglers fishing pellets on commercial fisheries and club waters. They are quick to use, hold the bait securely on the cast, and let you present a bait right next to the hook for a clean hook hold.
How they work
Each band is a small loop of stretchy silicone. Most anglers either tie the band directly to the hook with a knotless knot, or fit it to a hair or a bait band attachment. To load a bait, stretch the band open with a band stretcher or bait band pliers, slip the pellet inside and release, and the band grips the bait firmly.
Because the bait is held by the band rather than pierced, hard pellets that are difficult to drill can be used straight from the bag.
Choosing the 7mm size
The medium 7mm size is a good match for medium-sized pellets and similar hard baits. It grips firmly without crushing the bait, and is a popular size for pellet waggler, feeder and short-session carp fishing on commercial waters.
As a guide, choose a band that grips the bait snugly without being overstretched. Too loose and the bait can fly off on the cast; too tight and the band may split or crush softer baits.
Key features

- For pellets and other hard baits
- Quick to fit, no drilling needed
- Hold the bait securely on the cast
- Ideal for feeder and pellet fishing
Compatibility
These bands can be used with standard eyed and spade end hooks, hair rigs and bait band attachments. A bait band stretcher or pliers makes fitting much easier. Use them with pellets and other hard baits; soft baits such as paste are not suitable.
Care and maintenance
Keep the bands in their packet or a small sealed container, away from heat and direct sunlight, which can make silicone brittle over time. Check bands for nicks or splits before use and change any that look worn. Remove used bands from your rigs at the end of the session and take all litter home.
Who is it for?
These bait bands are for pellet, Method feeder and commercial fishery anglers who want a fast, secure way to present medium pellets and similar hard baits.
