Description
CA Scopex Supreme Groundbait 2kg
CA Scopex Supreme Groundbait comes in a 2kg bag and is flavoured with Scopex, one of the best-known flavours in UK coarse and carp fishing. Scopex has a sweet, creamy character and has been used successfully for carp, bream and tench for decades.
Groundbait is one of the most adaptable baits you can carry. It can attract fish into your swim, hold them there and carry other feed items such as pellets, corn and casters to the bottom. A 2kg bag gives you enough for a full day of feeder fishing or a couple of shorter sessions.
Mixing it
Put the groundbait in a bowl and add water gradually, mixing thoroughly. Leave it to stand for a few minutes so it absorbs the water evenly, then check the consistency. Passing the mix through a riddle removes lumps and gives a smoother, more even result.
A firmer, wetter mix holds together well for balling in by hand or packing into a Method feeder, while a drier, fluffier mix breaks up quickly to create a cloud in the water. Adjust the water to suit the way you are fishing and the depth of the swim.
On the bank
Use it in an open-end or cage feeder for bream and tench, pack it around a Method feeder for carp, or ball it in at the start of a session to lay down a bed of feed. You can add pellets, sweetcorn, casters, chopped worm or hemp to give fish more to find.
