Description
Crafty Catcher Big Hit Method Mix Bucket 3Kg
The Big Hit Method Mix from Crafty Catcher is a groundbait mix made for packing around a Method feeder. It comes in a 3kg bucket, so you have a good supply for multiple sessions and an easy way to store any leftover dry mix between trips.
A good Method mix needs to do two jobs. It has to bind well enough to stay on the feeder through a hard cast, then break down on the bottom to leave your hookbait sitting in an attractive pile of food. This mix is designed to bind well, which makes it suitable for casting at longer range, and the way you prepare it lets you control how quickly it breaks down.
Mixing it
Put the amount of dry mix you need into a bowl and add water a little at a time, stirring as you go. Leave it for several minutes so the particles can absorb the water, then test it by squeezing a handful. If it falls apart, add a little more water; if it is too sticky, add more dry mix. A wetter, firmer mix breaks down more slowly, while a drier, fluffier mix breaks down faster, so you can tune it for a quick bite on a short session or slower release on a longer one.
On the bank
Load the feeder using a mould or by hand, push a small hookbait such as a pellet, a piece of corn or a mini boilie into the mix, and cast to your spot. Regular, accurate casting builds up a patch of feed that keeps fish in the swim. You can add pellets, corn, casters or liquid boosters to the mix for extra attraction.

Care and maintenance
Keep the lid on the bucket and store it in a cool, dry place. Only wet the amount of mix you plan to use, as dampened groundbait does not keep and can turn mouldy. Clean out your mixing bowl and feeder mould after each session.
Who is it for?
