The D|Boys M4 with inbuilt silencer (1171) is a black electric airsoft rifle (AEG) with a polymer body and a 5-inch front end that incorporates a silencer, giving it the look of an integrally suppressed carbine. D|Boys, also known as Double Bell, makes a wide range of AR-pattern rifles at accessible prices. Build and design
A polymer body keeps the rifle light and easy to carry, and polymer does not get as cold to the touch as metal in winter. The inbuilt silencer is part of the front end rather than a separate screw-on part, so there is nothing to work loose during a game. Why an integrated silencer
Airsoft silencers are largely cosmetic, although a long silencer can help slightly muffle the sound of an AEG. The real advantage here is the look and balance: the rifle carries its weight between your hands, and the SD silhouette is a favourite for special forces style loadouts.

Compatibility
The rifle is designed around M4/M16 AEG magazines; most M4 AEG magazines from major brands should fit, but check before buying spares. Check the battery space and connector type in the photos, or ask us, before choosing a battery. A MOSFET is a sensible upgrade if you plan to use LiPo batteries. Standard M4 slings and 20mm optics suit the rifle.
Care and maintenance
Disconnect and remove the battery after every game, and never store the rifle with the battery plugged in. Charge batteries with a suitable charger, never leave them charging unattended, and store LiPo batteries at storage charge somewhere cool and dry.
Use good quality seamless 6mm BBs, as poor or damaged BBs are the main cause of jams and hop-up wear. Clean the inner barrel regularly with a cleaning rod and a soft cloth, wipe the outside down after wet or muddy games, and keep the rifle somewhere dry between games.
