Description
Double Bell M16 SPR MOD1 DMR (Full Metal CNC – 052)
The Double Bell M16 SPR MOD1 (052) is a full metal, CNC-machined electric rifle (AEG) based on the US Special Purpose Rifle, the designated marksman member of the M16 family. This is the MOD1 version, which is distinct from the MOD2 (053) we also stock. The product name does not state a colour, so please check the product photos for the finish of this listing.
Double Bell, also sold under the D|Boys name, is a Chinese manufacturer known for full metal AEGs at accessible prices, and its AR-pattern rifles have earned a reputation as dependable, upgrade-friendly platforms. The SPR suits players who want to take on a marksman role, observing and placing careful shots at longer range, while keeping the familiar controls and magazine compatibility of the AR platform.
Build and materials
Our listing for the blue version of this rifle gives a build in steel, aluminium and durable polymer with CNC-machined parts, a length of approximately 964mm and a weight of approximately 3.1kg. That makes it a substantial rifle that sits steadily in the shoulder and helps you hold on a distant target.
Performance and internals
The same listing describes a metal Version 2 gearbox with a quick-release spring system, so the main spring can be changed without removing the gearbox; useful when sites set different limits for marksman rifles. A long 470mm inner barrel with a 6.02mm bore and an adjustable hop-up help with consistent shots at range, and the muzzle has a 14mm counter-clockwise thread.
It is listed with a 150-round high-capacity magazine, a mini Tamiya battery connector and safe, semi and full auto fire.
Setting up a DMR
Pair the SPR with a magnified optic and a bipod for the classic look and role. Heavier BBs with a carefully set hop-up make the most of the long barrel. Many sites set DMR rules such as semi-auto only and minimum engagement distances, so check your site’s rules before play.

Compatibility
The SPR is built on the AR platform and takes most standard M4/M16 AEG magazines; test a new brand before relying on it. The 14mm CCW thread takes most airsoft mock suppressors and tracers, and standard 20mm optic mounts and bipods fit. The Version 2 gearbox means replacement and upgrade parts are widely available.
Care and maintenance
Disconnect and remove the battery after every game, and never store the rifle with the battery plugged in. Charge batteries with a suitable charger, never leave them charging unattended, and store LiPo batteries at storage charge somewhere cool and dry.
Use good quality seamless 6mm BBs, as poor or damaged BBs are the main cause of jams and hop-up wear. Clean the inner barrel regularly with a cleaning rod and a soft cloth, wipe the outside down after wet or muddy games, and keep the rifle somewhere dry between games.
Who is it for?
Players moving into a designated marksman role, milsim players building US-style loadouts, and anyone who wants a full metal, long-barrelled AEG at an accessible price.
Please note: Optic and bipod are not included. A battery and charger are not listed as included, so please ask us if you need them. Always wear suitable eye and face protection when using airsoft replicas, and check your site’s rules and power limits before play.
