The Element Gen2 Helmet Light System is a tan, helmet-mounted light for airsoft. A helmet light leaves both hands free for your rifle while lighting up the area you are looking at, so it is useful for night games, dark buildings, kitting up in the car park before dawn and finding kit dropped in the dark.
Element is a well-known maker of airsoft lights, lasers and optics replicas. Using it on the helmet
Fit the light to your helmet’s side rail or mount so it sits clear of your goggles and any headset, and angle it to light the ground a few metres ahead. Practise switching modes with gloves on before the game, so you can find the right setting by feel.
An IR LED only shows up through night vision equipment, so its main use is for players running NV devices or for realism in a milsim loadout. For most players the visible light is the main feature.
Tactical considerations
A light on your head shows the opposing team exactly where you are, so use it sparingly in games and switch it off when you do not need it. It is ideal in the safe zone, when moving between game areas, and for reading maps or checking kit.

Compatibility

Care and maintenance
Remove the battery if the light will not be used for a while, to avoid leakage or drain. Wipe the lens clean with a soft cloth and keep the light dry; dry it out properly if it gets wet.
