The Galaxy M82 with scope, model G31C, is a spring powered bolt-action airsoft rifle in black. Construction
The rifle uses a polymer body, stock and magazine with a metal cylinder and trigger. At approximately 1.4 metres long and around 3kg, it is large but not overly heavy. The rifle separates into two sections, barrel and receiver, for easier storage and transport.
How it works
Work the bolt to compress the spring and chamber a BB from the 30-round magazine, then take your shot. No batteries, no chargers and no gas cans are needed, and performance does not change on cold mornings. The simple mechanism is easy to understand, which suits newer players.
Scope and set-up
A long 20mm Weaver-style top rail lets you position the supplied scope where it gives you a full, clear sight picture. After fitting, adjust the hop-up so your BBs fly flat, then zero the scope at your usual engagement distance. Check the scope mounts are tight before every game.
On the field
This is a rifle that rewards careful, supported shooting. Use cover, go prone or rest it on a bipod to make the most of it. It is equally good for garden target practice, where the scope makes small targets easy to pick out.
Getting the best from it
Spend some time at a known distance before your first game. Start with the hop-up off, then increase it a little at a time until BBs fly level without rising at the end of their flight. Adjust the scope so its crosshair matches where the BBs land, and note the settings. Practising from the prone position or with the rifle rested on a bag will help you learn its trigger and how it settles after each shot.
With its long silhouette and bold styling, the M82 also makes a great centrepiece for themed games and photography, where the look of the rifle is half the fun.

Compatibility

Care and maintenance
Always store the rifle uncocked to protect the spring. Keep the inner barrel clean and use seamless BBs. Clean the scope lenses with a proper lens cloth, and keep the rifle dry; if it gets wet, wipe it down before storing.
