Description
Gate NanoASR
The GATE NanoASR is a compact third-generation MOSFET with an active brake, made for electric airsoft guns. It combines trigger contact protection with an electronic fuse and an active brake in a very small package, giving most AEGs a worthwhile upgrade without complicated programming.
GATE designs and manufactures airsoft electronics in Poland, and its Nano series is known for packing useful features into small units. The NanoASR suits players who want more than a basic switch, but do not need the full programmable features of GATE’s higher-end products.
What it does
A MOSFET is an electronic switch. In a standard AEG, the full battery current passes through the trigger contacts every time you fire, and over time the contacts burn and pit, especially with higher-voltage LiPo batteries. With a MOSFET fitted, the trigger contacts only carry a tiny signal current, while the MOSFET switches the main current from the battery to the motor.
The active brake stops the motor quickly after the trigger is released, reducing over-spin and helping the gearbox finish its cycle cleanly. The electronic fuse protects the circuit if something goes wrong, and retailers describe a special coating that helps the unit resist damp and changing weather.
Fitting
Retailers list the NanoASR as compatible with most airsoft guns and for batteries from 7.2V to 12.8V. It comes with Deans-T connectors, single and double signal wires for the trigger contacts, and heat shrink tubing, so you have what you need for a standard installation.

Compatibility
Listed as compatible with most AEGs. Check that your gun does not already have a built-in MOSFET or electronic trigger, and make sure your battery falls within the listed voltage range. If your gun uses a different battery connector, you will need an adapter or to change the connectors on your batteries.
Care and maintenance
Once fitted, a MOSFET needs very little attention. Keep wiring tidy and away from moving parts, check that solder joints and heat shrink are sound whenever the gearbox is opened, and keep connectors clean. Disconnect the battery whenever the gun is not in use, and use a battery suited to your set-up rather than relying on electronics to make up for a badly matched spring, motor and battery.
Who is it for?
It suits players who want an active brake and electronic fuse in a compact, easy-to-fit MOSFET, and anyone wanting to protect their trigger contacts when moving to LiPo batteries.
Please note: Installation involves working on the gun’s wiring and, for some set-ups, opening the gearbox and soldering. If you are not confident doing this, ask an experienced airsoft technician to fit it.
