G&G Reinforced Cut off Lever for Ver. III RK Gearbox
This is a reinforced cut-off lever from G&G for its Version III RK gearbox, the gearbox used in G&G’s RK (AK-pattern) rifles. The cut-off lever is a small but important part: it controls semi-automatic fire by cutting power after each shot, so when it wears or breaks, semi-auto stops working properly.
G&G Armament is one of the best known Taiwanese airsoft manufacturers, and buying an original G&G part is the surest way to get a correct fit and keep your replica working as it was designed to.
What it does
Inside the gearbox, the cut-off lever is pushed by a cam on the sector gear once per cycle. On semi-automatic, it breaks the trigger contact so the rifle fires only one shot per pull. A worn lever can cause doubles, run-away firing or a rifle that will not fire on semi.
As a reinforced part, this lever is designed to stand up better to repeated use than a standard item, making it a sensible spare for heavily used RK rifles.
Fitting
Fitting this part means opening the gearbox or replica, so it is best suited to players with technical experience or to an airsoft technician. Always remove the battery and magazine before starting work, take photographs as you go, and keep track of small springs and screws.
The cut-off lever sits under the gears, so the gearbox has to be fully opened and the gears removed. This is a job for someone comfortable with AEG gearbox work.

Care and maintenance
