Description
Huntsman Desert Eagle Series CO2 NBB Pistol Purple
Huntsman’s Desert Eagle Series CO2 pistol brings the large, angular Desert Eagle look to a simple non-blowback design, here in purple. It is a fun, eye-catching pistol for target practice and skirmish alike.
Its purple finish gives it a bold personality and makes it easy to spot in a kit bag. Please check the product images to see exactly which parts are coloured. Because it is a non-blowback design powered by CO2, it is simple to operate and easy to look after.
Design and handling
The Desert Eagle shape is one of the most recognisable pistol designs in the world, with a large frame, a long angular slide and a grip that fills the hand. Pistols in this style feel substantial and are easy to hold steady, which helps when you are aiming carefully at a target.
Its size means it needs a holster made for large-frame pistols, so check fit before relying on a general-purpose holster. Many players enjoy it as a fun target pistol or a statement sidearm for themed games.
How a CO2 non-blowback pistol works
A non-blowback pistol has a fixed slide, so none of the gas is used to move it. Each pull of the trigger releases gas to send a BB down the barrel, and the pistol is ready for the next shot. Without the slide cycling, there is no felt recoil, but more of the gas goes into firing BBs.
CO2 holds its pressure better than standard airsoft gas in cooler weather, which is one reason players choose CO2 pistols for winter games. It is still affected by temperature, so performance will vary between a cold morning and a warm afternoon.
About Huntsman
Huntsman is an airsoft brand whose range covers gas blowback pistols such as the H17, H18c and H34, CO2 pistols including the HG3 and Desert Eagle Series, rifles, and parts and accessories to support them.
Spare magazines, nozzles and sights are available within the range, so support for your pistol is easy to find.
Getting started
Read the manual before the first use so you understand how to fit and remove the CO2 safely, how to load BBs and where the safety is. Fit the CO2 with the pistol pointing in a safe direction, load BBs and fire a few shots at a safe backstop to get a feel for the trigger.
Practise drawing and aiming at home with the pistol unloaded and no CO2 fitted, so handling it becomes second nature before you take it to a game.

- Non-blowback design

Compatibility
Use good quality seamless 6mm BBs and the CO2 recommended in the manual. Huntsman lists its H17 HG3 DE series gas magazines in 6mm, and the DE in that name suggests the Desert Eagle Series is included. Please ask us to confirm which magazine suits this pistol before buying spares, and test any new magazine before relying on it in a game.
A holster made for the right pistol shape will keep it secure on the move.
Care and maintenance
Before storing the pistol, fire off or release any remaining CO2 as the manual describes, and never leave the pistol charged for long periods. Put a drop of silicone oil on the seals where the CO2 is fitted from time to time to help them stay gas-tight.
Wipe the outside of the pistol with a soft, lightly oiled cloth, clean the inner barrel occasionally with a rod and a soft patch, and keep the pistol somewhere cool and dry. Use good quality seamless BBs to avoid jams.
Use only silicone-based lubricants on rubber seals and O-rings. Petroleum-based oils and solvents can make rubber swell and break down, which causes leaks.
Who is it for?
This pistol suits players and collectors who want the bold Desert Eagle look in a purple finish, with the simplicity of a CO2 non-blowback design. It is a fun choice for target practice at home, and for players who want a sidearm that will not be mistaken for anyone else’s.
Please note: The listing does not state what is supplied with the pistol or whether CO2 is included, so please ask us if you need to know before ordering. Always wear suitable eye protection when using any airsoft replica, and have it chronographed at your site before play.
