Huntsman Tactical M4 AEG (Polymer Body with Mosfet – HMT12)
The Huntsman Tactical HMT12 is a standard-length M4 carbine AEG with a polymer body and a built-in MOSFET, supplied with a NiMH battery and charger. It takes the classic M4 layout that most players learn on and adds electronic trigger switching for a crisper response and longer-lasting trigger contacts.
Huntsman Tactical’s M4 range is built around a simple idea: give players a properly specified rifle at an approachable price. Rather than cutting corners inside, these rifles use a full metal gearbox with steel gears and solid bushings, then keep the cost and weight down with a tough polymer body. The result is a rifle that is light to carry, easy to maintain and straightforward to upgrade later.
Performance and internals
The full metal gearbox, engraved with the Huntsman logo, is fitted with 18:1 ratio steel gears, a sector gear delayer, 8mm solid bushings and a 14-tooth steel piston, with a red anodised cylinder for a good air seal. A hi-speed motor drives it all, and shielded low-resistance wiring (16AWG at the rear) helps deliver power efficiently from the battery. The main spring is an M90 on a quick-change spring guide that runs on bearings, so you can swap springs without opening the gearbox.
A built-in MOSFET with an electronic trigger handles the switching, so the trigger contacts are protected from arcing and wear, and trigger response feels sharper, particularly in semi-automatic. It also makes the rifle a better long-term partner if you decide to move to a LiPo battery later.
A rotary hop-up unit puts backspin on each BB for extra range and a flatter flight. Start with the hop-up off, fire a few shots and add hop gradually until the BB flies straight without curling upwards at the end of its flight, then re-check whenever you change BB weight.
Build and handling
The upper and lower receivers are polymer, which keeps the weight down and copes well with knocks, while the parts you handle most are metal: the cocking handle, magazine release and bolt catch, along with a hi-speed metal trigger. The inner and outer barrels are metal, and the metal flash hider has a standard 14mm counter-clockwise (CCW) thread, so it can be swapped for a mock suppressor or tracer unit.
The classic M4 carbine profile is a proven all-rounder: short enough to move through buildings and woodland easily, yet long enough to be stable for aimed shots. The retractable stock slides on a CNC aluminium stock tube, so you can set the length to suit your build and kit.
A fixed front sight and an adjustable, detachable rear sight with nylon fibre inserts let you play straight away without an optic; remove the rear sight when you fit a red dot or scope. The slimline M4 motor grip is held on with four screws, and a single-point steel sling attachment is fitted.

Compatibility
The rifle uses standard M4-pattern AEG magazines, so spare mid-caps and hi-caps are widely available. The 14mm CCW muzzle thread accepts most airsoft flash hiders, mock suppressors and tracer units, and the top rail takes standard Picatinny-mount optics.
The supplied NiMH battery is a good match for the rifle as delivered. If you choose a different battery, check that it fits the battery space and uses a matching connector; the built-in MOSFET makes the rifle better suited to a LiPo than a contact-trigger gun, but stick to the voltage the gearbox and spring are set up for.
Use good quality, seamless 6mm BBs; 0.20g to 0.25g is a sensible starting range.
Care and maintenance
Disconnect and remove the battery after use and store it separately, somewhere cool and dry. NiMH packs benefit from being fully charged before a game and topped up before storage; never leave a battery charging unattended.
Clean the inner barrel with a cleaning rod and a lightly dampened patch whenever accuracy drops off, and avoid dirty or reused BBs, which are the most common cause of jams and hop-up wear. Before storing the rifle, fire a single shot on semi with no magazine fitted so the spring is not left compressed, and keep it in a dry gun bag.
