The JG 555 JG-082 is an electric rifle (AEG) styled on the compact 552 Commando, with a polymer body and side-folding stock. This is the tan version, and it is listed with a battery and charger included, so it arrives ready to charge and play. Black and blue versions of the same model are also listed in our range.

How it works
An AEG (automatic electric gun) uses a rechargeable battery to drive a motor, which turns the gears inside a gearbox to pull back and release a spring-loaded piston. Each cycle pushes a burst of air behind a BB. Because the power comes from the battery and spring rather than gas, performance stays consistent in cold weather, and running costs are low once you have the rifle, battery and charger.
Handling and ergonomics
The polymer construction keeps the 555 light, and the side-folding stock folds away to make the rifle very compact for storage, transport and moving through buildings. Locked open, it gives a stable shoulder hold for aimed shots. The short overall length is equally at home in CQB and in woodland.

Compatibility
The 555 uses 552-style AEG magazines; JG magazines are the safest choice, so please check compatibility before buying spares from another brand. If you replace the supplied battery, make sure the new pack fits the battery space and has the right connector. Use good quality seamless 6mm BBs; 0.20g or 0.25g suit most players.
Care and maintenance
Disconnect and remove the battery after every game, and never store the rifle with the battery plugged in. Charge batteries with a suitable charger, never leave them charging unattended, and store them at a sensible storage charge somewhere cool and dry.
Use good quality seamless 6mm BBs, as poor or damaged BBs are the main cause of jams and hop-up wear. Clean the inner barrel regularly with a cleaning rod and a soft cloth, wipe the outside down after wet or muddy games, and keep the rifle somewhere dry between games.
