The KWA M1911 MKIV PTP is a full metal gas blowback pistol that takes the 1911 in a more modern direction, here in OD green under code 101-00342. It has a railed frame for a light or laser, a bushingless conical barrel with a guide rod, and a long list of practical details, all driven by KWA’s NS2 gas system.
KWA is a Taiwanese manufacturer with a long-standing reputation for well-made gas blowback pistols and rifles, and its pistols are widely used by players who want something sturdy that will keep working season after season. This one is part of KWA’s full metal NS2 line.
Design and features
The MKIV drops the traditional barrel bushing in favour of a conical barrel, with a guide rod under the barrel to keep the slide running true. It has a beavertail grip safety, an ambidextrous thumb safety, a three-hole trigger and a triangular hammer, together with forward cocking serrations for press checks and slide manipulation.
A 20mm rail section on the frame below the barrel takes a compact light or laser, and the elongated magazine well is bevelled at the entrance to guide the magazine in during fast reloads. The rear sight carries dots for quicker sight picture, and there is a lanyard loop at the base of the grip.
Magazine and handling
The magazine is listed as holding 14 rounds. The MKIV is supplied with stiff hammer and slide springs, which give it a firm, positive action. Its weight and balance make it a confident pistol to shoot, and the ambidextrous safety means it suits left-handed players too.
Finish
The OD green finish suits woodland, olive and multicam loadouts, and gives the pistol a distinctive look compared with the usual black. Pair it with an OD or green holster for a matched setup.

Getting started
Fill the magazine with the correct gas, holding the can upright and filling in short bursts. Let the magazine settle for a minute, load your BBs and fire a few test shots with the hop-up off, then add hop gradually until the BBs fly flat.
Get the replica chronographed at your site before play. In cold weather, keep spare magazines warm in an inside pocket for the most consistent performance.

Compatibility
Accepts KWA magazines made for its M1911 series; magazines from other makers’ 1911s are not always interchangeable, so ask us before buying spares. The 20mm frame rail takes compact pistol lights and lasers. Choose a holster made for a railed 1911.
Use only gas made for airsoft guns, and follow the gas recommendation in KWA’s manual; KWA’s guidance warns against some higher-pressure gases and propane, which can damage the seals and parts. Use good quality seamless 6mm BBs; KWA recommends 0.20g or heavier.
Care and maintenance
Keep a little gas in the magazines when you store them and lubricate the seals with silicone oil from time to time. Fill in short bursts until gas just starts to spit back, and keep magazines at room temperature for the best performance.
After use, check the moving parts for dirt and wipe them with a light coat of silicone oil. Clean the inner barrel occasionally, use clean seamless BBs, and keep the replica dry.
