This Maple Leaf hop-up adjustment wheel is a replacement for the small wheel that sets hop-up pressure on M1911, MEU, Hi-Capa and P226 pattern gas blowback pistols. The hop-up wheel is the part you turn to add or reduce backspin on the BB, so a smooth, precise wheel makes it much easier to dial in a pistol.

Once fitted, start with low hop and increase gradually while test-firing with the BB weight you normally use, until the BB flies flat without rising.
