Double Eagle G101SD Tracer Silencer Tan
This is the tracer version of Double Eagle’s G101SD silencer, in tan. Double Eagle uses the G101 code for its M4/N4 MWS gas rifle series, so this silencer is most likely intended for those rifles, although fit should always be checked against your own replica.
A tracer silencer looks like a standard silencer but contains a tracer unit that makes glow-in-the-dark BBs light up as they leave the barrel. It lets you see exactly where your shots are going, which is a big advantage in night games, dark buildings and indoor CQB sites, and it is great fun to use.
How a tracer unit works
Inside the unit, a light source flashes as each BB passes through, charging the luminous coating on tracer BBs so that they glow in flight. The effect is strongest in low light, and it works best with BBs sold specifically as tracer BBs.
Check the instructions supplied for how the unit is powered and switched on, and how it detects each BB, as this differs between designs. Make sure it is switched off or disconnected when not in use.
Fitting
Thread size and direction vary between replicas and manufacturers. Before ordering, check the muzzle thread on your replica, and make sure the silencer will clear the handguard, front sight and any rail-mounted accessories. Please check the product images, and contact us if you are unsure about fit.
After fitting, look through the silencer from the muzzle end with the replica unloaded and the gas or battery removed, and check that the bore is clear and the silencer is lined up with the inner barrel. A misaligned muzzle device can clip BBs and cause flyers.
