Ringers Chocolate Orange Method Micros are small micro pellets with the chocolate orange flavour that Ringers is well known for. They are designed for Method and pellet feeder fishing, where they pack around the feeder and break down on the bottom to form an attractive bed of feed around your hookbait.
Chocolate orange has become one of the most recognisable flavours on UK commercial fisheries, and many anglers like to match their feed and hookbaits in the same flavour for a consistent approach. The 900g bag is a convenient size for a day session.
Preparing them
Follow the preparation guidance on the pack. As a general guide, micro pellets for the Method are dampened with a measured amount of water, left to absorb it, and then checked: they should stick together when squeezed around the feeder but still break down once on the bottom. Add water a little at a time, as it is easy to add more but impossible to take it out.
Using them on the bank
Load your Method or pellet feeder with a mould for a neat, consistent shape, press in your hookbait and cast to a marked spot. Recast regularly early in the session to build up feed, then settle into a rhythm. The pellets can also be used dry in PVA bags, or as loose feed by hand or catapult at close range.
