Description

Saigo Defense Kenji AEG (with LiPo Battery and Charger – Long – Black)

This is the long version of the Saigo Defense Kenji electric rifle (AEG) in black, supplied with a LiPo battery and charger, as named. Because the power supply is sorted for you, it is a straightforward way to get into the game: charge the battery, load a magazine and you are ready to have the rifle checked at your site.

Saigo Defense aims to make airsoft affordable without leaving players with a bare, basic rifle. The long Kenji is a modern, full-length M4-style rifle with an M-LOK front end, an electronic trigger and a 14mm muzzle thread, which makes it a sensible first rifle, a capable woodland primary or a reliable spare for friends and family who want to try the sport.

Build and features

A retailer listing for the long Kenji with battery and charger describes a polymer receiver, an M-LOK handguard with a 20mm top rail, flip-up sights, a vertical grip, a blade trigger and an ergonomic pistol grip, with a 14mm counter-clockwise threaded muzzle. A polymer body keeps the weight down for long game days and does not get as cold to the touch as metal in winter.

Inside, the same listing gives a metal-toothed piston, a metal nozzle and a metal cylinder head, with an electronic trigger unit (ETU) and an adjustable hop-up, firing in safe, semi and full auto. A 130-round mid-capacity magazine is listed. The black finish is the classic choice and suits almost any loadout.

Performance and handling

The long configuration gives a longer sight radius and more handguard space than a short carbine, so there is room for a torch, a grip and a bipod or laser without crowding your support hand. That makes it well suited to woodland sites and to players who like to engage at a distance.

The electronic trigger unit replaces mechanical trigger contacts with electronic switching. That gives a sharper, more consistent trigger response and avoids the contact wear that mechanical triggers suffer over time, which matters on a rifle that is likely to see plenty of use.

Getting started

Charge the supplied LiPo battery fully on the supplied charger before first use, following the instructions that come with it, and never leave it charging unattended. Fit and connect the battery as the manual describes, load the magazine and start with the hop-up turned off. Fire a few shots at a safe backstop and add hop a little at a time until the BBs fly flat without climbing at the end of their flight, then have the rifle chronographed at your site.

  • LiPo battery (as named)
  • Charger (as named)
  • Magazine (a 130-round mid-cap is listed by a retailer)

Compatibility

The M-LOK handguard takes standard M-LOK rail sections and accessories, the 20mm top rail suits standard optic mounts, and the 14mm CCW thread accepts common airsoft flash hiders, mock suppressors and tracer units. Please ask us which magazines the Kenji takes before buying spares. If you buy a second battery, match its connector and size to the one supplied so it fits the battery space.

Care and maintenance

Disconnect and remove the battery after every game, and never store the rifle with the battery plugged in. Charge batteries with a suitable charger, never leave them charging unattended, and store them at a sensible storage charge somewhere cool and dry.

Use good quality seamless 6mm BBs, as poor or damaged BBs are the main cause of jams and hop-up wear. Clean the inner barrel regularly with a cleaning rod and a soft cloth, wipe the outside down after wet or muddy games, and keep the rifle somewhere dry between games.

Never charge a LiPo that is swollen, punctured or damaged, and charge on a non-flammable surface, ideally in a LiPo safety bag.

Who is it for?

The long Kenji with battery and charger suits new and budget-conscious players who want a modern, feature-rich rifle that arrives ready to use, and anyone looking for an affordable woodland primary or a dependable spare rifle.

Please note: Always wear suitable eye and face protection when using airsoft replicas, and check your site’s rules and power limits before play.
