Description
SIG Sauer ProForce P229 Gas Blowback Pistol (Black)
The ProForce P229 is SIG Sauer’s own airsoft version of its classic P229 service pistol, released under the SIG Air brand. It is a compact, metal-bodied gas blowback pistol that suits both skirmishing and practice drills.
Build and performance
The slide and frame are both metal, with an ergonomic polymer grip, so it has a reassuring weight of around three pounds. Gas is held in the magazine and powers a full blowback action, with the slide locking back on the last shot like the real pistol. It fires in semi-automatic, has front and rear slide serrations for easy racking, and an integrated Picatinny rail in front of the trigger guard for a weapon light or laser. SIG has kept the balance and handling close to the firearm, and the pistol field strips for cleaning.

Good to know
Gas is not included; use green gas made for airsoft and avoid lighter fluid or butane. As with all gas pistols, performance falls in the cold, so keep magazines warm in winter. Use quality 0.20g or 0.25g BBs. This is a realistic imitation firearm (RIF), so buying it in the UK requires a valid defence such as UKARA registration, and buyers must be 18 or over. Always wear eye protection and check your site’s power limits before playing.
