Description
Tokyo Marui AUG Custom High Cycle (Black)
The Tokyo Marui AUG Custom High Cycle is a compact electric bullpup in the style of the AUG, finished in black and built around Marui’s High Cycle internals for a very fast rate of fire. The AUG is one of the most recognisable bullpup designs, and the Custom puts it in a short, handy package with modern rail-mounted accessories.
Tokyo Marui’s High Cycle range is aimed at players who want to put a lot of BBs downrange quickly, particularly in CQB, where a high rate of fire helps you win close exchanges. The bullpup layout keeps the rifle short while the action sits back towards your shoulder.
High Cycle internals
A Hong Kong retailer listing describes a Tokyo Marui EG30000 motor, the high-speed motor Marui uses in its High Cycle guns, and a 7.4V battery with a small Tamiya connector in the rear compartment. The same listing gives an adjustable hop-up and notes that the inner barrel is M4A1 length.
A high rate of fire uses BBs quickly and works the internals hard, so use good-quality seamless BBs, a battery of the voltage the manual recommends, and practise trigger control so you can choose between short bursts and sustained fire.
Bullpup handling
Like the AUG it is styled on, the rifle uses a two-stage trigger: a partial pull fires semi-auto and a full pull fires full-auto, so you can switch modes without moving your hand from the grip. The same listing describes a rail-attached stubby vertical grip and front and rear iron sights, and the outer barrel uses a standard 14mm counter-clockwise thread for muzzle devices.
Because the magazine sits behind the grip, reloads happen near your shoulder, so practise them before your first game. The listed high-capacity magazine holds 330 rounds, which suits the High Cycle’s appetite for BBs.

Compatibility
The rifle takes Tokyo Marui AUG-pattern AEG magazines; magazines from other makers’ AUG AEGs often fit but should be tested before relying on them. Use a battery of the type and size the manual recommends and check it fits the rear compartment before buying.
The rails take standard 20mm accessories and optics, and the 14mm CCW thread suits standard muzzle devices, mock suppressors and tracer units. High Cycle guns use specific internal parts, so check that any upgrades are listed for the Marui High Cycle AUG.
Care and maintenance
Take the battery out after every game and store it separately at a sensible storage charge, rather than leaving it connected inside the replica. Charge LiPo batteries with a proper balance charger, keep them in a LiPo-safe bag and never leave them charging unattended; NiMH packs should be charged with a smart charger that stops when the pack is full.
Run a cleaning rod with a lightly dampened patch through the inner barrel from time to time to clear dirt and residue, which keeps the hop-up consistent. Use good-quality seamless BBs, never reuse BBs that have been on the ground, and wipe the outside over after damp or muddy games. Leave gearbox work, shimming and spring changes to a competent technician.
Who is it for?
The AUG Custom High Cycle suits CQB players who want a compact bullpup with a very fast rate of fire, fans of the AUG design and anyone who wants Tokyo Marui reliability in a short, handy rifle.
Please note: A battery, charger and BBs are not listed as included. Always wear suitable eye protection, and full-face protection where your site requires it, when using or testing any airsoft replica.
