Description
Umarex T4E HDS 68 Paintball Marker Shotgun (Black – 2.4764)
The Umarex T4E HDS 68 is a CO2-powered, shotgun-style marker in black from Umarex’s T4E (Training for Engagement) range. It is designed for training, paintball-style games and recreational shooting, with a compact shotgun layout that is quick to learn.
Umarex’s T4E line is built specifically for scenario training and recreational use, and the HDS 68 brings a shotgun format to the range. Its robust build and simple operation make it a practical option for anyone who wants something different from the usual pistol and rifle markers.
How it works
The HDS 68 is powered by a single 12g CO2 capsule and fires .68 calibre rounds, the standard paintball size. It holds two rounds, so each shot should be deliberate, and its straightforward operation makes it easy to pick up and use.
Getting the best from it
With only two rounds before reloading, the HDS 68 rewards a deliberate approach: pick your moment, take an aimed shot and reload in cover. Practise your reload so it becomes second nature, and carry spare rounds where you can reach them easily.
CO2 pressure drops in cold weather, so keep spare capsules at room temperature until you need them and expect slightly fewer shots per capsule on a winter day. Check every round before loading and discard any that are cracked or misshapen, as they are more likely to break in the barrel.
Design and handling
At around 490mm long and 1.7kg, the HDS 68 is compact for a shotgun-style marker, making it manageable indoors and easy to carry. Its shotgun stance and handling feel natural to shoulder and point, which suits close-range scenario work. The shotgun format is also a good way to add variety to a group’s kit, giving players a different role and a different way to approach a scenario.
