The Vorsk VP-X Chrome BDS is a 1911-style gas blowback pistol in a bright chrome finish, supplied with Vorsk’s BDS compact red dot sight. It combines the timeless single-stack 1911 shape that pistol enthusiasts love with a modern optic for faster, more intuitive aiming.

Build and materials
The VP-X is built mainly from metal alloy, giving it a solid feel and good balance, with high-stipple polymer grips that give a secure hold. The chrome finish covers the pistol for a bright, polished look. It has the traditional single-stack 1911 profile, slim and comfortable to hold, with the familiar grip angle and controls.
The BDS red dot
The supplied BDS is a compact red dot sight from Vorsk. A red dot lets you keep both eyes open and simply place the dot on the target, which is quicker than lining up iron sights, especially when moving or under pressure. Its compact size keeps the pistol balanced and easy to handle. The BDS takes a CR2032 cell.
Performance
As a gas blowback pistol, the VP-X fires each BB and cycles the slide using gas from the magazine, giving the sharp recoil that makes 1911s so enjoyable to shoot. It fires in semi-automatic. Vorsk rates it for V6, V8 and V12 GBB fuel, so you can choose a gas to suit the weather, and Vorsk offers both gas and CO2 magazines for the VP-X for players who want a punchier feel.
Handling
The slim single-stack grip suits a wide range of hand sizes, and the 1911’s straight-back trigger and familiar controls make it easy to shoot accurately. Compatibility
The VP-X takes Vorsk VP-X magazines in gas and CO2, standard and extended versions; it has also been listed as compatible with Raven MEU magazines, but check before buying third-party spares. Use good quality seamless 6mm BBs. 1911-pattern holsters fit the pistol itself, but with the BDS fitted you will need a holster that allows for an optic.
Care and maintenance
Put a drop of silicone oil on the magazine fill valve and seals every few fills, avoid overfilling and store magazines with a little gas in them. Keep the slide rails lightly oiled and wipe the chrome over with a soft cloth after use to keep it bright. Remove the battery from the BDS if you are storing it for a long period, and keep the lens clean with a lens cloth.
