Description
WE M16A3 GBBR (Blue)
The WE M16A3 is a full-length gas blowback rifle modelled on the M16A3, the full-auto version of the classic long-barrelled US service rifle with a fixed full stock and removable carry handle. This listing is the blue version, giving a traditional design a bold modern twist.
WE (WE-Tech) is a leading gas rifle maker, and its M16 and M4 rifles are known for crisp recoil and realistic handling. The long barrel and full stock give the M16A3 a commanding presence and a long sight radius, perfect for players who like a classic, full-size rifle.
Build and design
WE lists its M16A3 with a steel and aluminium frame and outer barrel, and a polymer hand guard, full-length M16 stock and pistol grip. It is a substantial rifle, at around 1000mm long and 3.8kg, with a long inner barrel of around 509mm.
The carry handle can be removed to reveal a top rail for an optic or other accessory, so you can choose between the classic iron-sight look and a modern optic set-up.
How it works
WE’s M16A3 uses an open bolt gas blowback system with a working bolt catch that holds the bolt to the rear after the last shot, just like the real rifle. It fires on safe, semi and full-auto, and the hop-up is adjustable.
The rifle runs on green gas from a 32-round magazine. Gas rifles perform best in mild to warm weather; in the cold, keep magazines warm and expect fewer shots per fill.
Getting started
Gas the magazine in short, steady bursts and give it a moment to settle. Load BBs, seat the magazine firmly, rack the charging handle and test-fire at a safe target, starting with the hop-up off and adding it a little at a time.
Practise reloads and using the bolt catch at home so they become second nature, and ask your site to chronograph the rifle before your first game.

Compatibility

Care and maintenance
After each game day, wipe the bolt carrier and moving parts with a light film of silicone oil, check for dirt in the upper receiver, and clean the inner barrel with a rod and patch. Use good quality seamless BBs, keep the rifle dry, and have the nozzle and bolt inspected if performance drops.
Lubricate the magazine fill valve and seals with silicone oil every few fills, and store magazines with a little gas in them so the seals stay tight. Never use petroleum-based oils or lubricants on seals.
Who is it for?
The WE M16A3 suits players who love classic full-size rifles and the realism of gas blowback, reenactors of later 20th-century US forces, and collectors looking for something unusual in blue.
Please note: gas and BBs are not included. Please check the listing for the exact contents, as the name does not state them. Always wear suitable eye and face protection and check your site’s rules on gas rifles before play.
