Description
WSB Silver Wedge 35g
The WSB Silver Wedge 35g is a streamlined, compact metal lure that gives extra casting distance and gets down quickly in the water. Its vibrating action on the retrieve imitates an injured fish, triggering the predatory instinct of mackerel, bass and other hunting species.
The 35g size is a good step up from the mid-weight wedges, useful when you need to cover more water, punch into a breeze or fish in a stronger tide.
Extra weight, extra reach
The added weight helps the lure cut through the wind and reach shoals feeding well out from the shore, harbour or pier. It also sinks faster, so you can search deeper water and keep the lure working near the bottom when fish are holding low. On the retrieve, the compact shape keeps it vibrating and flashing like a wounded baitfish.
Try a fast retrieve when fish are breaking the surface, and a slower, lift-and-drop retrieve when they are deeper or the water is cold.
Matching the lure to your rod
At 35g, this wedge is best fished on a bass rod, heavier spinning rod or light beach rod rated for that weight. Casting a lure that is too heavy for the rod risks damaging the blank, so always check the casting weight printed near the handle.
Key features

Compatibility

Care and maintenance
Rinse the wedge and hooks in fresh water after use in the sea and let them dry fully. Check the hooks and split rings before each session, and replace any that show rust or damage.
Who is it for?
For shore anglers who need a little more distance and depth than a mid-weight lure gives, particularly on breezy days, in tidal water or when fish are feeding further out.
Please note: Take care when handling hooked lures, and carry pliers or a disgorger for unhooking.
