Description
WSB Wire Cage Feeders – 20g
WSB Wire Cage Feeders are round, black coated micro wire cage feeders, here in a 20g size, each fitted with a rolling swivel. Cage feeders are a simple, proven way to put groundbait, crumb and small particles right next to your hookbait.
The 20g weight sits in the middle of this range, making it a versatile all-rounder: heavy enough to cast a reasonable distance and hold position in a light breeze, but still light enough for a soft entry and for use on standard quiver tip rods.
How it works
Pack the cage with groundbait or crumb, cast to your spot and let it settle. The feed takes on water and breaks out through the mesh, laying a small patch of bait around your hookbait. Mixing in small particles such as micro pellets, hemp, casters or chopped worm adds extra attraction. Casting accurately to the same spot every time builds the swim and keeps fish feeding where your hook is.
Build and design
The cage is made from fine micro wire with a black coating, so it is discreet in the water and does not flash like bare metal. The mesh grips a firm mix during the cast and then releases it steadily on the bottom. The rolling swivel turns freely to help prevent line twist on the cast and retrieve, and gives a secure attachment point for your rig.

Care and maintenance
Rinse feeders in clean water at the end of the session so groundbait and particles do not dry hard in the cage or around the swivel. Let them dry before storing them in your tackle box. Check the swivel and any attachment points for wear before each trip, and replace a feeder if the swivel is damaged or stiff. After use in brackish or salt water, a fresh water rinse is especially important to prevent corrosion.
Who is it for?
A good everyday feeder for pleasure and match anglers on lakes, commercials and slow rivers, and a sensible weight for beginners building a feeder box.
