Questions about Airsoft Weapons

What's the difference between AEG, gas and HPA?

An AEG (automatic electric gun) runs on a rechargeable battery and is the cheapest to run. Gas guns use green gas or CO2 and give realistic blowback, but lose power in cold weather. HPA guns run on compressed air from a bottle and give the most consistent shots.

Do I need UKARA to buy a replica?

To buy a realistic imitation firearm (RIF) in the UK you need a valid defence, such as UKARA registration through your local site. Two-tone (brightly coloured) replicas only need you to be 18 or over.

Which BB weight should I use?

0.20g suits most pistols, 0.25g is a good all-round choice for AEGs, and heavier BBs (0.28g to 0.32g) suit tuned rifles and snipers. See our BBs.

Yes. Visit our Thetford shop on Castle Street to handle replicas in person, or order online for click and collect.
